Before I studied marketing , attention felt random.

That changed for me after I finished my Bachelor's in International Tourism Management (BITM) degree in 2020 , and went straight into a postgraduate diploma in marketing (2021-2022).

That's when I started seeing things differently.


What looks like a normal post is usually bullt intentionally.

The hook.

The pacing.

The message.

All of it is there to do one thing - to stop scrolling.

And once you understand that , you stop relying on guesswork.

Now I think: what will actually capture attention?

Not just visually- psychologically.

  • Repeated formats that perform
  • Emotional triggers that pull people in

It’s not just about one post performing.

And that’s how attention builds.

Now, when I create content, I don’t just think about what I want to say.

I think about:

  • how to make someone stop
  • how to keep them engaged
  • how to make it stick

Because attention isn’t just a metric.
