Site Health Needs Work - Going slow - Can this still work?
It was a sad day when I saw this for my website but honestly, I should have not been surprised because I know that I slowed down with my commitment to writing posts. It still hurt though to see and it was a kick up the backside which I needed.
Now I could go on and make a million excuses of why I've slowed down but I don't want this to be a negative post but just one to say that I'm still in it for the long haul. Just finding time right now that I'm struggling with because I have so much going on...maybe I bit more than I can chew with my desperation to make money so I took on quite a few projects that I could "work from home" but still have a day job and a family to look after.
Anyways, after re-evaluating the things that I was doing, I decided to let go of a few things and concentrate on the things that I wanted to work on the most because I was stretching myself too thinly, feeling very overwhelmed with everything that I thought I could cram in my day and in the end not doing anything of value to any of my businesses/jobs.
Luckily, I know that I have something good here and so I've kept going with WA and I see the opportunity that I have here and I haven't given up hope that this will work for me.
I do still have visions of me in a coffee shop writing my blog posts for my websites while my kids are at school and living the life that I want too...only question is...will this still work if I move slow and what I mean by that is, my goal of writing one post a week. Its all the time that I can spare right now and I keep reading that people write almost every day!
I can't do that, not because I don't want to but a lot to do with the fact that I'm still learning all about this and of course the other stuff like my day job and two kids to look after. (one being a toddler - need I say more ;))
I'm not sure what kind of post this is, maybe just letting you know where I am right now. I wish it was a success post like it asks us to write in our training, but hey, we all work at different paces right!

Don't worry about how much you write until after you finish the training. Get through that first. If your lesson assignment is to write a post, then do it, otherwise keep working on lessons.
You have a web site. You are working and learning. You are serious about succeeding at this. You have so much more than you did a few months ago! Don't sweat the small stuff. Focus on the long range goal and keep putting on foot in front of the other (so to speak). Slow progress is still progress.
You'll do fine!

Keep on keepin on, I myself need a kick in the pants when it comes to motivation. But one thing I do is jus sit there and close my eyes and remember how lucky I am to have my family and how amazing it will be to be self sufficient. Plus the WA community is by far the best place for encouragement and support. wish you all the best forward

The training is more important than writing at the moment. So long as you're doing what the training tells you, you'll be fine. Once you've finished you can get a lot more writing done and have more focus to devote to it.
Thanks Jess, that does make a lot of sense. I will do that and that will help me move on a bit quicker.
