Hello all .. I would like to suspend my account for about 2 months as I will be travelling and will not be active in writing blogs. I dont want to pay for 2 months. Can I do it
30 days after you last pay your site will not be visible on the web as it will be archived.
you are paying for hosting, you dont pay, you don't get hosting - simple.
if you are traveling then let your site do what your site should be doing, getting moremature in googles eyes and still searchable from any visitors point of view.
i would pay and keep my site online, but it is your business.

I am trying to create a static home page. I did the necessary changes by going into setting and chose my home page as my brand page and post page as blog . The problem is when
thats what a static home page is - no posts will appear on there -
you maybe able to add a post widget to your home page. also you will need to add a blank page called blog and point your blog to that - check under appearance customize and you may find more options - theme dependant.

I have created a blank page called blog page. When I search with URL/blog, it does show me all the posts . I have also done changes under settings by setting the post page as blank blog page.
I am not sure how to point my posts to the blank blog page.

have you added a menu item blog to point to that page and do you want a recent blogs widget in your sidebar to show that you are updating your site.
is that a brand name you are using as your home page or a generic name of clothing.
How to I add the menu item blog to point to that page ?? . I will add the recent blog widget later may be. For now I want the posts to show up under my home page .

to add a menu item for that page called blog
you goto the menu and click on pages - select the one called blog and add to menu.
you can now position it wherever you want in the menu list and click save.
if you want the post to show on your home page you don't want a static page you want a blog roll.
the opposite of what you are doing.

Ah the word Devi is sanskrit for goddess, i had come across a lot of sites using that word in their title.
I got it . I was wondering if I can have a static page and also have post preview at the bottom . I dont think it is possible now unless I use widgetkit plugin to add latest post within my static home page. I guess widgetkit is a paid service.
Yeah , Devi means goddess and also my wife's last name. Great to see that you identified it.

you can try the display posts plugin - that seems to have quite a bit of functionality.
you can even style a post grid - with a bit of work.

Hi ppl , I have a question for you. I added about 4 new posts couple of weeks back and they are indexed as well. But I dont see them under pages tab under performance tab in go
If they're indexed they should be in there...are you under the correct property? Also if you paste the URL into the Inspect field up top, does it come back as indexed?
Every time I post, I log into Google Search Console and submit the post to be indexed manually. I find that it's much faster.
They are indexed. I am checking by clicking on performace tab and then click on pages. I dont find my newly indexed posts which are created almost 2 weeks before
