HI, I canceled my subscription with you and would like a refund please!
Dont know how you managed to get the money as the card was reported lost last year

When and how did you cancel your subscription?

Cancelling a subscription is something you need to do manually yourself within your account settings

Also did you tell your bank that your card was lost? As once they are notified by you, they stop any further transactions on the lost card.
They also normally send you a replacement card with a new account number.

With your card being reported lost you should have let Kyle or Carson know about it along with giving them in your account settings the new card details

You are also responsible to let PayPal know about your lost card as they too could have stopped any transactions

Payments are automatically deducted on the due date of your membership when you join and set up.

So contact Kyle or Carson, as generally there are no refunds

Hello Everybody
I am currently adding youtube links to my website but do I put them as no Follow or Follow for Google. These videos are not my personal videos but somebody e

If you're embedding the videos into your posts with the embed share URL, you don't need to worry about "nofollow" or "follow" attributes since embedded content doesn't have these attributes.

All you do is click the plus icon top menu, search for the YouTube widget, enter the destination URL, and update.

Hi - when adding YouTube videos, you should be embedding them on your site, not adding the URL.

That way, the video will be playable directly on your post, you won't be sending visitors to YouTube at all.

When in YouTube, click Share under the video, then click Embed.

Copy the HTML code that pops up, and then paste that code into a Custom HTML block on your website.

Thank you for your answer DianeScorpio.
I have embedded 1 video per post already ( lets say Rome) but with say "places to visit in Rome" at the required places I have youtube links to those places.
Thank you for your feedback

Good Morning Folks

I have used Cloudflare but didn't like it.

If you host here you do not have to worry about CDN.

But I also believe Patha got you GOATful covered.

Hi TheAbie
I have warnings from google that my mobile is poor and as it is a ranking factor then yes I do have to worry
thanks for your input though

If you use WP Rocket or Hummingbird Pro you need to turn WA SiteSpeed OFF.

The reason there's a conflict is that they are all caching software.

I have run WP Rocket on a website I have hosted at WA for 2 years, over 600 articles, over 5,000 images, and over 1 000 embedded videos. Speed is above 95 for both desktop and mobile.

Go to WEBSITES at the top of the page.

Go to SITE MANAGER.

Locate your site and on the right-hand side click SITESPEED.

Then turn the sitespeed OFF.

You can try it on ACCELERATED, but you may eventually have issues.

EXTREME is a definite no-no.

As Phil mentions, also compress images, I see you're using Smush which is pretty decent.

I use imagify Pro version, although the free version allows for up to 5,000 images.

Partha

I don´t mean to hijack the thread but what is the difference between using WA´s sitespeed compared to using Hummingbird or WP Rocket?

Is it a choice of preference or do you see better performance by using Hummingbird or WP Rocket?

Roy

Hey Roy,

I have to be careful what I say, LOL, as the last time caused a bit of a disagreement/argument.

I've had a few issues with WA sitespeed over the years, and usually I have been told it's due to other plugins, software, etc. I have on my site.

In fact, once I was told that a conflict happened due to my theme... eeermmm, it was the basic, free, version of Generate Press.

Sure, I understand that all themes can cause issues with caching, but there hadn't been any problems before.

I've just found that as my sites expand, especially with more media and plugins (which, yes I totally get can conflict with ANY hosting), my site speed was getting slower and slower.

That being said, I know that there are members who have just as much media on their WA-hosted sites as me, and have never had any speed issues.

In the end, the best solution I found was to have a premium caching plugin, a premium image optimizer plugin, and have WA SiteSpeed TURNED OFF, in effect, use WA hosting JUST for the hosting.

I definitely don't have enough technical knowledge to discuss the advantages and disadvantages (I'm sure Phil can chime in on that).

All I know is, making the above adjustments (WP Rocket, Imagify, SIteSpeed Turned OFF) has ensured that I have a fantastic website speed, regardless of themes, plugins, etc.

And best of all, NO CONFLICTS!!

Partha

Thanks, Partha.

Yes, I agree, there are several factors that come into play. So doing a little bit of "tweaking" and testing out other tools that do the same work is a good practice.

I have used WP Rocket and Imagify a little bit on another website hosted elsewhere than WA (a customer's website), and they have so far worked beautifully.

Roy

I have been with WA 2 years too and i have always had an issue with site speed. I did a test on a blank page with just a title and the site speed was 76 classed a B. I think alot has to do with what theme you use.

Wp Rocket crashed my site and when i asked for the support site to repair they said I should'nt be using wp-rocket as it was the problem and I wouldnt need it as WA speed accelerator is enough. But clearly not!

Was searching for an answer for you. Might be a good question to ask Kyle or Carson on their profile.

Mel

have you tried to find out what is slowing your site down on mobile and addressing that...
is it images too large - can you reduce the file size...
is it too many parts to your page - can you switch off parts for mobile and still retain your message....
jsut throwing a cdn or even an optimizer at your site wil lnot in most circumstances speed up your site....

I have striped my posts down to the minimum and removed all advertising and I am using call to action buttons to a page containing the advertising. Images I am using Smush which helps.
thank you for your reply feigner

what does pagespeed insights say is the problem...
