I would start with one aspect i.e. smart watches or smart plugs. That way it is easier to build authority on one aspect of it and then move on to another aspect.

I have a question, lets say I decide in the future that I want to change hosting from WA to another host. Does anyone have an idea if it's possible and if so, how easy/hard wo
Loes is right. It is very easy to do. site support can help you when you are ready. There is also training here as well.
It's just the reverse way from transferring a domain name to WA, you fill in the data from the other host. It has to be an owned domain, you can't transfer a http://Siterubix.com website.

Good Morning! I am pursuing the smart home products niche and my question is whether you think this niche is too broad? It includes smart plugs, appliances, lights, etc. Do y
It’s a very good question, and I concur with what the guys have already said. Just imagine having to do research on smart home product for your posts. That would take a lot of time. Rather start out with a few then scale when you’re well informed about the first few. All the best.
I was thinking about a "larger" site to house the subtopics of specific smart products like locks, door bells, etc. In your opinion do you think it would be best to have a domain like smarthomeproductsguide and have a silo of a door lock, or just go with smartdoorlockguide?
Sorry if my question seems stupid.
It’s not a stupid question. It’s a valid question. From where I stand, it sounds like you’re talking about creating a catalog.
If it was me, I’d rather on smart door lock guide as my entire website title; then create posts for the various types that I have researched. In that way, you will be creating some kind of “catalogue”, in the form of posts.
You’re welcome. The community is here for helping out. It’s always better to ask when you’re not sure of something.
5 years ago you would've been ok, now, way to broad, as this niche has grown. Focus on the products you are familiar with.
Thanks Scott, so I was thinking about focusing on one silo of smart home products - would you say otherwise? Say focus on smart home appliances or plugs first? Would you say the domain is too broad?
I concur with Kat.
Focus on one area then with time you can expand. The reason being you need to write posts. Imagine if you have 5 areas at one time, you might need 5 new posts each time.
So do you think the domain smarthomeproductreviews.net is too broad?
Or just use that as a platform and concentrate on one silo at at time?
And THANKS for your input!!

Thanks!
Would you say keep the domain smartdevicebuyersguide.com or use another, more focused domain?
