Blogging Up a Storm!

Hey WA family!

I have been so immersed in content production over the last month that I decided it was time to come back to the lessons and get a few more knocked out. So, today I get to document my progress!

I started out with a few clear cut paths and niches. Now, if you guys read about my journey with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD/CRPS) and hear a little more about my background, and what actually brought me to blogging and affiliate marketing, you might understand why it would be difficult for me to write about one particular niche.

So, I took the most pertinent ones and combined them in a self-branded blog site. As it stands, I write mostly about my career in medicine, and how developing CRPS impacted my dreams and really just rocked my world in general. I am beginning to write more on fitness and nutrition, specifically how they relate to chronic pain and neurological conditions. Especially demylenating conditions like CPRS, MS, and CP. I spend a fair amount of time on cannabis education, and how it pertains to medical science as well as overall health and wellness and even faith. Finally, I spend a considerable amount of time in the Christian niche.

Blogging has turned into therapy for me. CRPS is classified as the most painful form of chronic pain in existence, and to be honest, I hated God before I found him. It's all related for me, and I am blessed to have such an amazing community to help me share my perspectives on life.

I found that over the last couple of months, As I began building my blog, I chased a lot of rabbit trails. Mostly because I seriously enjoy the creativity. Coming back to the lessons, I find myself readily checking off tasks that I have already completed. It's not that I am trying to work ahead, it's just a lot of fun!

I have made an effort to integrate my blog into social media.

We live in such an incredible time in history. It's hard to believe the world wide web has only been around since 1989! I mean, can you imagine trying to do all this crap on a typewriter? Ha!

Over the next few months, I want to find reputable products to promote inside the affiliate marketing and work from home niches. I would also like to be able to earn an income. This is so very important to me, because while I am not able to work, my former employer made sure that I lost my Work Comp and Disability settlement. My wife and I are almost three years on one income, and I was primary.

So, I am treating this like a full time job, because I see the value in the community as well as the premium membership, and I don't want to have to let it go. Wealthy Affiliate has changed my life. Blogging gives me a sense of purpose, and I am hoping to take everything that I am learning now to grow a business providing therapy for people with debilitating conditions, as well as giving them options for earning an income.

I can't say where I see myself in 6 months, because I have seen how much life can change in a day, and the past three years have been a roller coaster, but I am excited at the possibilities. Feel free to check out my website. https://ianrude.com

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and keep writing!
