600 Dress Barn Stores Closing: Why You Should Consider an Online Business
Little by little, the aspects of business is changing all around us. Think about it, how many items can you purchase online? Nearly everything, right?.
Why You Should Consider an Online Business
I went to the Ellenton Outlet Mall in Bradenton, Florida yesterday to return an item to the Dress Barn. I had purchased a pair of palazzo pants for an event but ended up wearing something else for the event.
After I concluded my transaction, the manager says, “All 600 Dress Barn stores will be closing soon. So, come back and check out the going out of business sales.” I asked, “How could this be? Dress Barn is a staple store for many women.” The manager replied, “The stakeholders are cutting to streamline their businesses, and we are on the chopping block.”
I got to thinking about the impact on all the women losing their jobs. It caused me to freeze in my tracks for a minute.
I suddenly realized the core reason I continue to develop and sustain my online business and digital presence.
Why You Should Start an Online Business
If for no other reason, start an online business to create a safety net for such a time as this—600 stores closing.
Think about the wonderful women that work for Dress Barn. They’re your friends. They know you, your style and your size.
Imagine them hearing they will lose their jobs. Where will they go?
Imagine the impact on their precious families. I cannot imagine.
If you know one of these women, please reach out and invite them to learn about online business opportunities.

Yes. I feel sad about many brick and mortar stores that are closing. You could go a lot of ways with that niche and cover more than one brick a motar store that's leaving. Good post. Be Blessed.
Hi Cherry21 - Thanks for the feedback! It is exactly my intention to provide a starting point for the niche.
