The power of the affiliate ecosystem.
Just recently I've seen the term "affiliate ecosystem"...
In context of affiliate marketing it means what the vendor company is willing to share with it's participating affiliates.
As you know many companies offer affiliate programs that usually give their affiliates a percentage of sales.
Often this share is restricted by specific product and / or cookie duration (piece of code put on peoples browser when they click your affiliate link).
Meaning that if you send somebody to a company to buy product 'A' but they buy product 'B' the affiliate get's nothing.
Also if your referral doesn't buy within a 90 day window most cookies expire and even if the person returns and buys you get nothing.
Don't get me wrong affiliate marketing is still a pretty sweet deal but imagine if...
As an affiliate you get paid on ALL products your referral may buy for as long as you remain an active affiliate ...lifetime commissions (potentially)...
So if the company offers a 'value ladder' of products and services that their customers can climb this potentially opens the door for High Ticket Affiliate Commissions in the medium and long term.
AND
What if you earned affiliate commissions from any 3rd party products or services this Affiliate Ecosystem may suggest through it's training and content...
Meaning you now have the potential to earn Multiple Streams of Income from seperate companies (more robust - right?)
So we're now talking the potential for lifetime affiliate commissions of low ticket, high ticket and recurring income from multiple companies from the promotion of one affiliate link!
One affiliate ecosystem.
There's always a but...
The but is that there's a cost associated with getting these affiliate perks.
Usually you're required to own one of the products, or pay to join the affiliate program itself.
I've also only seen this level of affiliate ecosystem offered in the online marketing training niche so as yet it's quite limited.
Interesting concept though?
