Month 5 & 6 Update - Business Growth Without Me
All the details and screen shots are available here...
Interesting results.
To explain my 'WA' business - it includes by blog (link above), and Bing PPC advertising (the WA way both to my blog and some direct linking to offers) that's it.
Because of time restraints in the last 4 months I've only added 7 new pieces of content!
However the business continues to grow without me. In terms of Google traffic and affiliate commission ($468.40 profit after ad spend last month).
What could it have been if I'd MADE time for content?
My dream was to build a business that could grow without my daily supervision.
Though this is currently very modest I'm really stoked about the potential.
The secret is product name related content (reviews, comparisons, cheat sheets, how to's etc). My site only has about 6 review posts!
Google will eventually send traffic to this content, and if you send PPC these folks are very keen to buy something, be it the subject of the review or your well researched alternative...
I hope this may encourage anyone who isn't yet seeing results.

I'm doing a "happy dance" for you and me. I really like to hear that the 'hands off' approach can work too.
Pretty sure this is a success post.
Thanks and yes, I see it as success despite a lot of things I could have done different / better / more of.
Well! Isn't that an awesome inspiring post! Thank you. Guess I better get off the forums and start back up with the training. Onward and upward!
Thank you for posting this....this is my story except I haven't seen any profits yet but I also realize that i was starting at the very beginning so i had a huge learning curve to over come. This is encouraging..Thank You
My pleasure, the direct linking stuff took a while to collect enough data (not that much traffic from Bing) I also tried about 25 products in different niches from Clickbank (easy). Only about 5 are profitable but they seem strangely consistent. The product related blog content just takes a while for Google to grab hold of.
Stick with product keywords and trying to help folks and I'm convinced it will come good.
Best of luck.
