Habits That May Help You

Here are some habits you can try out for yourself-

1. Live within your means- As per my pastor, the first 10% to God, then 10% to yourself, and live from the 80%, if that is not possible, then you are living beyond your means

2. Read every day- For myself, I read the bible, then other books I can learn from and extract ideas

3. Don't gamble- If you do, make sure you know how to play the game (s), otherwise stay out of it.

4. Exceed in your job or business- Go above and beyond what is required, successful persons do what others don't want to do.

5. Don't procrastinate- You should try to reach at least 70% of your daily To Do List

6. Never Give Up- I have seen many people stop right before they may have reached their goal (s)

7. Live a purpose driven life- I happen to be a member of Saddleback church, my pastor wrote the best seller "The Purpose Driven Life" in 2002. My small group of 12 went through 40 days of purpose where we would discuss the reason we are here on this earth for.
Pursue your dreams and have a main purpose for living and by far you will be the wealthiest and happiest of all.

I love what I do, so I am very happy to spend more hours each day to do what I enjoy doing.

If you are not making enough money, it may be because you are doing something you do not like or enjoy.

List all the things you like to do, imagine doing it, and start doing it!

Live the life you are meant to live.

To your success and significance,

Roy van Broekhuizen

Very true Roy. Good habits build strength of character and a healthy life style. In business they will lead to success. Jim

Totally agree Jim, developing good habits will in turn and time bring great rewards in all areas of life. Thank you. Roy

Your post is very thought provoking. Living within your means is always a challenge for people these days with all the buy now pay later options. My son’s finance teacher had the students ask their parents for their best piece of financial advice. Mine was to never use credit cards because if you must charge something that means you can’t afford it. Thanks for your other thoughts as well.

I am sharing my experiences Michelle, as I turned 70 on October 9, 2018, I am reflecting on some of the things I did and didn't, wished I had lol! I can only say this, if you start at a young age and do just the 1st one, you will be surprised how much you have in 25 years and beyond. I would suggest buying even 1 share of the best companies, i.e. Amazon and other companies you buy from. Best wishes for you and your family. Roy

    Thanks for sharing!
