Why AI Slop Doesn't Work Anymore!
You may not like the title of this video, but the fact is that the creator economy is going to be more about storytelling rather than AI slop! This video isn’t trying to undermine people’s content, it’s just really to encourage you to create content that is unique and not AI regurgitated content.
Have you clicked on one of those videos and realised its AI content, I have, I must admit, I can’t get away quick enough. I’m not interested in what AI has to say, I want to know what people’s genuine experience is. The fact is that you will get left behind, if you don’t change the way that you create your content. People are genuinely getting fed up with this regurgitated content.
If I’m looking to purchase something, especially if it’s something of value, I will carry out lots of research before I purchase. An AI review is not good enough, I want to hear what someone’s experience is with a product or a digital download, etc.
Have a look at the video and get involved with the conversation.
Thanks for watching.

I also close out articles that seem like all AI generated material. I do not put any of my new posts into the menu until I have thrown in my real experiences into almost every paragraph ( a few paragraphs do sound good as is). I also make sure to change all phrases I would never use. MAC.
You can train a gpt to write in your voice by giving it instructions on your writing style. What you expect, what you don't like nd then providing something you actually wrote in the way you convey your content to learn from. You will still need to edit the content it gives you, but it shortens the edit time because it will be in the style of your voice.
That sounds great because I usually take a week to edit each post. 🤔 I will start working on that.
I understand where you're coming from, it's so important to make our content unique and to be ourselves. As soon as I see anything that looks like AI content, when I move away.
Thank you for commenting, Michael.

Far too often many use AI as a crutch to get by rather than creating something unique from what it gives you. I know, because I was once one of them. Since injecting myself and person views into the output, I have noticed people have been more willing to respond and share ideas. This is not only true for blogging here on this platform but across my sites as well.
Thanks for posting this. The word needs to get out. People need to realize that cookie-cutter rewashed content will no longer work. Truthful and unique content is the clear winner these days.
Michael
Thanks for taking the time to comment, Michael, I do appreciate it.
I guess the fact is that AI is a way of creating content very quickly, but does it really represents the writer's real and genuine experience, I think probably not. That's interesting that you have seen a big difference, Michael, now you are injecting yourself into the content, which represents a real person and real experiences. I'm sure that you will reap the benefits from doing it this way.
It's a pleasure, Michael. I think people are just getting fed up with seeing so much AI content, Google will quickly realise that people are not reading this AI content and just moving on to find better content. So we may as well start now making true and honest content.
All the best.

Very interesting. Your use of the word "Slop" didn't trigger me because I'm hopefully learning how to overcome potential "AI Slop" and be more creative with content that has been AI-assisted for creation. I agree that personal stories work wonderfully and are truly enjoyed by site visitors. I'm more successful being personal on my "niche" tea site than my WA promotional site. I'm doing better on creating content for that blog site and making it more personal. I must overcome my fear of revealing too many mistakes in such stories. I love the way Gail is telling her story about her WA journey. That's a great model to follow. And thanks, Roy, for the eye-opening post. - Shirley
Thank you for your comment, Shirley, it's appreciated.
The term "AI slop" is what digital creators are calling it, as so many people are fed up with it!
I think when we have a passion for a niche, Shirley, it's easier to be a true self and our passion kind of shines through, which is a big plus point.
I think we have to remember that we are all human and we all make mistakes. I don't edit every mistake out of a video. Many video creators are now just making raw videos, as they feel they are more authentic and there is no downtime in editing. Gary V, the famous social media workaholic and businessman, says that if his dog barks or his family or children come in the room, he leaves all that in the videos!
Documenting is a very good way to go, Shirley.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

I agree, Roy.
AI definitely simplifies many tasks for me. However, I always make sure that the content I share is based on my personal experiences. That’s why 95% of my posts begin with my own stories. 😊
People are more likely to engage with content they can relate to.
Hello Alice,
I appreciate you taking the time to comment, thank you.
Yes, I can agree with you more, AI is a great helper. Personal experience is such a good thing, I believe that people want the real deal, they don't want something that is fake, that quickly gets boring.
Yes, you need to look at the Wealthy Affiliate comments to see that real content, causes engagement.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hey Roy,
I hope you are well. Thank you for sharing this important information about authenticity when creating content. It is important to use AI responsibly, and correctly.
When creating personal stories, I prefer to use STT software like you do when writing your articles here, as it is a quick and easy way to "write" with your voice and it is exactly the same as using your keyboard. It is a phenomenal technology you can use while staying 100% human and authentic. I do the same when creating videos, then I use TTS with MY very own voice clone (an exact replica of MY voice with MY accent) to take that script and bring it to life with MY AI avatar clone. The only thing that still needs to be perfected is the avatar's facial expressions which is not yet exactly like me, and sometimes there are some glitches or repetition that gives it away as AI. Yet, the most important part being the actual content, the message, is still my own.
When creating factual articles, I first use AI for the outline, then I may use AI to write each subheading's section with AI as well. Then I completely humanize it 100%, and I add my personal touch, some humour, emotions, etc. as the final edits. It is also important to ensure it is not repetitive content/duplicate content that is already saturated on the internet. It must be something new, a unique perspective, or expanded on the original.
Hello Hein,
Thank you for commenting, it appreciated.
All is well at this end, thank you, Hein.
I believe that when we use our voice to type, we probably speak more naturally, possibly, which may make it more authentic.
It's amazing what you are doing with this software, Hein, I can imagine it may be quite a large learning curve? I see all these videos on YouTube, when I say I see them, I don't often watch them, but sometimes people may send me something about politicians which is made into a comedy act, or something similar! It is extremely clever how these videos are created.
So despite using AI software, it sounds like you are still making sure that the content is unique, which makes a lot of sense.
I have a dog, which is very popular with people, he is a very cute creature and I have often wondered if I could cartoon him, using AI software or something similar. And then almost make stories about his adventures, but having said that, I probably have enough on my plate!! But it is interesting how this software works and how people are making all these videos of politicians some other famous characters, etc.
All the best.
Roy
Hey Roy,
Thank you for your reply. I fully agree, and the learning curve is not that high. It is quite simple really. Why don't you send me a high-quality image of your dog facing the camera via PM, tell me whether it's male or female, the dog's name, etc. and I will make you a video from that.
Then you can gimme your feedback, and if you are happy/impressed, I will give you my secret. 🙂
Good morning, Hein,
It's a pleasure!
When I see these AI videos, of politicians and similar people, I find it utterly amazing how they actually create these videos. My first thoughts are that it must be highly technical, I really haven't a clue, how they create them! However, until I learnt how to use Camtasia, I didn't have a clue how to edit videos, etc!
I will send you a message, Hein, it may not be until later, as I have to go out shortly, but that would be interesting. I appreciate that.
I hope you have a good day.
Roy
Ok, great. Enjoy your outing. Chat later then!
Thank you, Hein, that would be great.
I hope you have a productive Friday.
Roy
