New YouTube Channel- One Month In
One month ago, approximately, I started a new YouTube channel, which is more of a hobby rather than a business venture. The channel is based on Christian principles mixed with news and current affairs. It's something that I had wanted to start for several months.
I'm not sure if I will be able to speak 100% freely as Google and YouTube are fairly strict if something does not suit their narrative. It's interesting, as I hear some members of YouTube being really careful and they receive a ban or a shadow ban. And then there are other members that just seem to say whatever they want and nothing happens. I don't know enough to know how the rules work, I probably ought to find out more.
I have thought about having the same kind of channel with the same name on Rumble; however, that makes a lot more work. But at the same time, I want to be able to speak the truth and get the message across to people. I guess it's one step at a time. In case you are unaware, Rumble is very similar to YouTube, but they let you speak freely!
So Now A Few Statistics
I created my first video for the channel on the 7th of January, this was an introductory video, explaining what the channel was about. I produced a second video on the same day. I then went one week without publishing a single video. From the 15th of January, I have published a video every day to this date, and I plan to carry on doing that.
Initially, the channel seemed to take off, after I had one video that received 120 views and 11 likes. And then, on the 24th of January, one of my videos received 386 views, and most of the views came really quickly. That video received 16 likes. To date, the channel has 18 subscribers.
The initial traction seems to have slowed down a bit now; however, I will keep trying to create a video daily. The great thing with YouTube is that we can schedule the videos, so I try and have sessions creating videos. This is also a great use of time, as I feel I can achieve a lot in a relatively short time.
I have also created a new website where I plan to embed the videos, so far I haven't added any content at all to the website. It's something that I need to do. All I have on the website so far, is an about me page and terms and conditions!
After I have created a video, I try and create my own transcript. I can do this fairly quickly as I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking, which is much quicker than me typing!
As most of us know, consistency is key in the online business world. I believe one of the reasons that Roope has grown his channel so much is due to consistency.

Although, he also has a great passion and enthusiasm for what he does. We can learn a great deal from members like Roope and other successful members.

I should have mentioned that I already have two more YouTube channels. I must admit I haven't been posting regularly with these channels, rather sporadically. However, they are continuing to grow.

It's definitely worth taking a look, Jeff.
I am someone who is all for having their own platform, as in a website. Especially at the moment, as we never know when we could be shut down due to the mainstream narrative!
However, if I look at the traction YouTube has given me compared with writing blog posts, in a month, it's huge! I'm trying to embed videos to a new website, I'm a bit behind, but at least the website will give me a platform.

Tuesday was good, Wednesday alerted me to the fact that one of my key machines was stolen. No matter, I have more of them, but I just wish people could live and let live, but everything I have is actually God's so He can do with it as He sees fit!

It rained all night here, Jeff and carried on till mid morning, it's better now! I should have really gone out to work, but I have declared a Bretton bank holiday for today! To be fair, the weather is not ideal, it's still very wet underfoot.
Although I often work Saturdays, traditionally, Saturdays have been my lowest production day! I think it's probably because it's the end of the week and the fact that people are at home, so there are more distractions.

Thank you, Jeff! I did! The grass looks nice and green and both the mowers have a roller I use a walk-behind and a ride on machine which belong to the customer. There's about 4 acres of garden, majority of the garden is lawn. According to my phone, I walk around 12 miles when I cut the lawns!

I have my YouTube videos set for continuous play, so when I'm working, when one video finishes, a new one starts. YouTube is actually quite good most of the time at knowing what I like! (Probably AI kicking in!) However, several times, "I can only imagine" has been played! I will never tire of that song!

Another nice movie that I really like is "Faith Like Potatoes", it's a true story by Angus Buchan. Angus Buchan is a South African farmer/evangelist of Scottish descent, I have several of his daily reading books! I can really relate to this man, probably because of his agricultural background. It's definitely worth seeing the film.

Yes, it is great that we can limit the number of emails that show in our inboxes. I normally check my messages via email, I'm not sure that's the best way.
You seem to be very good at replying to each comment, so obviously, your system is working well. I actually put into my Gmail search bar, "new reply to your comment" and that seems to sort out the emails I need to reply to. I have also generated a separate folder for Wealthy Affiliate emails in Gmail.

You can do that in settings on your Personal profile page, Roy! That way you don't get all the "like" emails, etc!

Time is really a huge factor in all that we do. Even Roope said to outsource if we can, so it will not make us feel overwhelmed!

On Friday night, I was finishing something off quite late, which meant I overslept slightly, but felt slightly drained in the morning! Sometimes we can think that we can burn the candles on both ends, but it doesn't work. Quality sleep and rest are so important for productivity. I know I don't need to tell you that as I believe that you are very, very wise with your time.
That's good terminology; you do need to be firing on all cylinders, it's important!
Good sleep equals a good mindset; poor sleep can equal or lead to negativity.

"Google and YouTube are fairly strict if something does not suit their narrative" -- yep, they are known to censor info ;) especially was evident in the last 2 years, censoring people and promoting propaganda shit.
(2020-2021 is a triggering topic, politically speaking, and I wasn't on the mainstream side in terms of pretty much everything that happened.)

Be careful about daily videos, 1) you want to focus on quality (but sometimes it's best to just do it when you're starting out), 2) you don't want to burn yourself out.

Yes, this is exactly what I have been hearing and I also know of people who are getting censored. Especially when it's news, Christian or anything that doesn't suit the mainstream narrative! Yes, I have never known propaganda like it; even now, people seem surprisingly blind to it!
