New YouTube Channel- One Month In

One month ago, approximately, I started a new YouTube channel, which is more of a hobby rather than a business venture. The channel is based on Christian principles mixed with news and current affairs. It's something that I had wanted to start for several months.

I'm not sure if I will be able to speak 100% freely as Google and YouTube are fairly strict if something does not suit their narrative. It's interesting, as I hear some members of YouTube being really careful and they receive a ban or a shadow ban. And then there are other members that just seem to say whatever they want and nothing happens. I don't know enough to know how the rules work, I probably ought to find out more.

I have thought about having the same kind of channel with the same name on Rumble; however, that makes a lot more work. But at the same time, I want to be able to speak the truth and get the message across to people. I guess it's one step at a time. In case you are unaware, Rumble is very similar to YouTube, but they let you speak freely!

So Now A Few Statistics

I created my first video for the channel on the 7th of January, this was an introductory video, explaining what the channel was about. I produced a second video on the same day. I then went one week without publishing a single video. From the 15th of January, I have published a video every day to this date, and I plan to carry on doing that.

Initially, the channel seemed to take off, after I had one video that received 120 views and 11 likes. And then, on the 24th of January, one of my videos received 386 views, and most of the views came really quickly. That video received 16 likes. To date, the channel has 18 subscribers.

The initial traction seems to have slowed down a bit now; however, I will keep trying to create a video daily. The great thing with YouTube is that we can schedule the videos, so I try and have sessions creating videos. This is also a great use of time, as I feel I can achieve a lot in a relatively short time.

I have also created a new website where I plan to embed the videos, so far I haven't added any content at all to the website. It's something that I need to do. All I have on the website so far, is an about me page and terms and conditions!

After I have created a video, I try and create my own transcript. I can do this fairly quickly as I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking, which is much quicker than me typing!

As most of us know, consistency is key in the online business world. I believe one of the reasons that Roope has grown his channel so much is due to consistency.

Although, he also has a great passion and enthusiasm for what he does. We can learn a great deal from members like Roope and other successful members.

I will try to give another update in around a months time.

I should have mentioned that I already have two more YouTube channels. I must admit I haven't been posting regularly with these channels, rather sporadically. However, they are continuing to grow.
