I Found The Issue To Why My Videos Are Uploading Slowly!
Recently, I asked a question on Wealthy Affiliate regarding "Why are my videos suddenly slow to upload?" You can see the link to the question below.

Until two or three months ago, it would normally take me around three minutes to upload a video to my hard drive. The three-minute time was for a video of around ten minutes. I couldn't understand why; all of a sudden, it seemed my videos had gone from a three-minute upload time to around thirty-five minutes for a video of the same length.
However, I remembered that Camtasia had added a new feature called Camtasia Rev. The feature automatically turns itself on prior to recording, although it can be turned off. I must admit that the Camtasia Rev feature adds some really nice touches, but it is a little bit painful having to wait that long to upload videos. I appreciate that there are plenty of other things to do, but I'd like to stay focused on one project at a time.
According to the Techsmith website, which creates Camtasia, it says:
"Camtasia now offers an effortless video creation workflow, called Camtasia Rev, designed to help you make great content faster than ever. With just a few clicks, Rev enables you to seamlessly blend screen recordings, webcam footage, and audio into captivating videos.
In Camtasia Rev, transform and personalize your recording by selecting options in the size, layout, background, effect, and filter tabs. From here, you can send the video to Camtasia Editor for further editing and enhancements or export it immediately."
I must admit that I probably haven't used Camtasia Rev to the full, although I have been playing around with it quite a bit. They don't actually mention that it makes the videos much slower to upload.
Would be interesting to hear about other members experience if they are using the Camtasia Rev feature.

I have used Camtasia for many years, Brian; I really like the software. The Rev features are very good, but I'm amazed at the difference in the upload time. I genuinely thought it was or could be a computer issue. So much so that I had some tests carried out on my PC, which turned out everything was working absolutely fine and at a good speed.

I personally have never used Camtasia but I'm glad that this issue has been resolved due to the extended wait time of having to upload a video.

I'm guessing I have used Camtasia for around 15 years plus. I have been using it in a fairly basic form, but just recently I have been learning more about the software. It does have some great features. It's funny how it took me so long to work out a relatively simple issue. I really thought that it might be a computer issue. However, it wasn't.

It took me a good couple of months to work out what the issue was, Bux! You are right, I genuinely thought it may be a computer issue, so much so that I ran some tests on the computer a few days ago. All the tests showed that the computer was working absolutely fine.
I'm not that good on speeds and transfer rates. Etc, but I'm trying to learn like we all are! I'm amazed at the difference in the speed when I turn the Rev feature off!

Its always so easy after the solution is found.
I had the same issue with microphones. Tried 3 different mics, two different computers and two different rooms. Turned out I was sitting too close to the mic.

That's very true, Bux; it's easy when we know the answer!
That's interesting about the microphones, Bux, like everything, especially with sound and video, etc; I believe there is a lot to learn. I never know how far we are meant to be away from the microphone, hence why I have gone back to using a headset.
I do have a desktop microphone, but I have stopped using it for recording videos, as it sounds so much better from the headset.
It's interesting how microphones have changed over the years; a few years ago, speakers were wearing headsets which you could barely see. Or, a small microphone pinned to their shirt. Now it seems to be fashionable to have a great big microphone across the screen. I've never understood that! Surely, it's better to look at the person speaking rather than a great big microphone across the screen!! Maybe that's just me, though!

I’ve seen the same thing on the BBC outside broadcasts. Sometimes a tiny mic the size of a pea and then a different mic that looks like a great fluffy cat.
There is probably a university course on it.
That's so true, Jeff! That's a great example and so very true, some of them do look like a fluffy cat!😃
It's also true about the University course, we are trying to do everything ourselves, whereas, many of these trades were full-time courses!

I just couldn't work out why my videos were all of a sudden taking so much longer to upload, Jeff. So much so that I had some tests carried out on my computer to make sure that it was a computer issue. The computer has a good spec. However, it was strange how, all of a sudden, the videos were slow to upload.
The good news is that I know what the issue is now!

I hear you, Jeff! We have had quite a few dryish years where I haven't had to cancel any work or lose very few days. However, for the last few months, the weather has been very wet; we are waterlogged everywhere!
