Has ChatGPT Gone Backwards? Or Is It Just Me?

I've been using ChatGPT extensively for quite some time now, and it has become an important part of my workflow. Whether I'm brainstorming ideas, improving my writing, creating outlines, or simply thinking through problems, it has been an incredibly useful tool.
However, over the past few weeks I've found myself becoming increasingly frustrated. Simple tasks seem to have become hard work and, in some cases, not even possible. I'm curious whether it's just me or whether other people have noticed the same thing.
I seem to be spending more and more time correcting ChatGPT, repeating instructions that I've already given it, or asking it to regenerate responses because it hasn't followed what I requested. Sometimes it feels as though it's forgotten the conversation halfway through. On other occasions it introduces things I specifically asked it not to include, leaving me rewriting prompts that used to work perfectly well.
One example is image generation. There have been times when it simply refuses to create an image, reports an error, or produces something completely different from what I requested. At other times it seems to struggle with following fairly straightforward instructions that it handled effortlessly only a few months ago.
I'm not saying ChatGPT is bad. Far from it. I still use it every day and I still think it's one of the most useful tools I've ever used. It has genuinely saved me countless hours and helped me improve both my YouTube channel and my websites. It just seems rather frustrating at times and almost awkward to work with.

Lately it feels as though I'm having to work much harder to achieve the same results. Perhaps it's because the system has become much more complex. Perhaps it's balancing millions more users than before. Perhaps new safety systems or continual updates have changed how it responds. I honestly don't know.
What I have noticed is that whenever ChatGPT seems to receive a major update or so-called improvement, it often appears to become less reliable for a while. Whether that's just my perception or whether there's something behind it, I couldn't honestly say.
Incidentally, I'm using the paid version of ChatGPT, ChatGPT plus.
I'm interested to hear from other Wealthy Affiliate members because many of us rely on AI in one way or another. Have you noticed any changes recently? Do you feel ChatGPT has become better, worse, or simply different? Have you changed the way you write your prompts, or do you think I'm imagining the whole thing?
I'd genuinely be interested in hearing about other people's experiences because I can't decide whether the problem is ChatGPT or whether I simply need to adapt the way I use it.
I look forward to reading your thoughts and hearing about your own experiences.
Thank you for reading.
