I do find it absolutely amazing how the Internet has opened up so many opportunities for all of us! I find the whole Internet marketing game, and everything associated with it, so fascinating, it's amazing how many lives have been changed by people taking the initiative, to do something different online.

Outsourcing is a great thing to do, Rick, especially if you can find the right people, as it can free up a lot of time. I've used Camtasia for years, but it probably only the last couple of years or so that I have gone deeper with it. The good thing is that you can use it in its basic format, which is fine, or add lots of fancy things, I'm probably somewhere in the middle!

I do find it amazing how we can learn so many things, from the comfort of our own home, how things have changed!

Yes, I'll start playing with Camtasia from the comfort of my own home, I was going to start with the basic Camtasia Essentials. What are yiur thoughts Roy?

I would start with the essentials, Rick, you can always purchase the extra packs, if required. I have been using Camtasia for a long time, so originally, I actually purchased it and then just paid for an upgrade once a year. Three or four years ago I added something called a maintenance agreement, which means I always have the latest version and telephone help, if required.

I think for new users, things have changed a bit, with the three different packages, they used to give a free trial for a period of time, I think that's probably still available. At least that way you can test it out, or perhaps you already have it.

I think it was only a couple of years ago, or maybe a bit more, but I started purchasing Camtasia assets, which is handy if you want to add pictures or videos, to your videos, if that makes sense. But there are also free assets, but they are slightly limited, but there's definitely enough there to play around with. I did try Audiate, which was a free trial, but what I'm doing, it didn't seem worth it.

Incidentally, there are lots of training videos and support is excellent at Camtasia I also use Snagit, which is from the same people, Techsmith.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video, I do appreciate it.

It's interesting about multitasking, Hein, I hear this term quite a lot, but realistically, there are only a few people who can genuinely do this! I believe that for most of us, it is counter productive. I agree with you, batch tasking is a great way to do things, I try to make a few videos in one go, it keeps me in the flow and then I can schedule YouTube videos. But this can work with anything, whether learning or creating.

The crypto thing is all new to me, Hein, I'm learning, but there is a lot to kind of know and all the lingo that they use, etc. I have a very good friend who wants me to go deeper and is willing to train me, but I also have a course on the subject, but once again I need to utilise this.

The crypto that I am doing is really easy, I'm testing it at the moment, but so far so good. I can't say the name am here for two reasons, I don't know why, and I need to find out more, but for some reason, I can't share the idea on social media, it's kind of word-of-mouth, which I don't really understand. Is there a way that I can reach you by a private message, Hein, I could take you to either a live presentation on Zoom, or an archived presentation.
I am in part of a team, which is good and the results are unbelievable!

It's interesting, Hein, I was listening to a man yesterday on YouTube, who has put some Camtasia teaching on YouTube, I actually think that he is quite good. However, he was saying yesterday, that he is not an expert, as there are plenty of other people who know more. I thought exactly the same thing, I know how to use Camtasia, but I'm still learning. But the point being, the man I'm referring to had a relatively small channel, but now he has grown his channel to around 80,000 subscribers, in one year. The channel is older than one year, but he really grew it in the past 12 months. He does post other videos, as well as Camtasia videos, however, he's been consistent and makes nice videos, but he is not perfect, just like me, which kind of made me think.

It definitely seems that consistency is absolutely key to being successful online, I have known this for years, but it really is so true. I guess there is always going to be someone better than us, but we have to start where we are. If I think of someone like Roope and where he has gone from, knowing nothing, to being highly successful, we can all potentially do similar things.

That's wonderful that you have been making courses, Hein, may I ask what software you use to make courses. I know there is a popular program that people use, but I can't think of the name of it, at the moment. I use something called Datafeedr, (it puts products onto your website) I have made quite a few videos on the subject, as originally, the owner of Datafeedr, didn't have many videos. It was interesting that some of my videos, on the subject, had more views than the owner's videos!

Yes, I know of websites where they have companies advertising on their platform and really do quite well. These websites are not massive, but they have enough traffic for companies to pay a few thousand pounds, per advert, a year for the advertising, which is great. It's a nice way to earn regular money.

Website flipping is something that I haven't personally carried out, but as you mention, I know there have been people at Wealthy Affiliate who have successfully achieved this, which is great. I once heard someone say on the platform that people much prefer to buy a rubbishy site than something that is really genuine!! It's funny how people work!

It's all good fun! I actually use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to type with, I'm not particular quick at typing, although quicker than I was! Using Dragon naturally speaking is much easier for me, it's something I have used for years, it can make some really horrendous mistakes though! Almost one word wrong and it can change the total tone of a post or a comment!

I'm thinking of making my last comment into a book!!😄 I think I wrote a blog post or a question, about how long should a comment be, as I'm fully aware that my comments can be quite long, almost a blog post! But on the other hand, if someone has taken the time, and is responding to my blog post, then I want to try and give them a decent reply. Sometimes, though, I do wonder if I go over the top!

That's wonderful that you were able to take your wife out for a meal, that's a good thing to do, and an important thing to do. I'm really pleased to hear that you are upgrading, but I also understand why you are a free member, due to our past conversations.

I originally came to Wealthy Affiliate for the up-to-date training, I appreciate that much of the training could potentially be found on the Internet. But it's good to know that the training is genuine and no one is trying to sell you anything, as such. Having said that, I quickly learned that the community is very valuable, it's very good to be able to communicate with like-minded people and also to help others. And, of course, there is that opportunity to ask questions if we ever get stuck, or even to create conversation. I know quite a few people who've come to Wealthy Affiliate for the hosting, that's not something I came for, but it is certainly a bonus!

The good thing is that we can offset the cost of Wealthy Affiliate against tax, etc, so I genuinely think it gives good value for money. I have a friend in the US, who is very knowledgeable on the Internet marketing, etc, he has said that I don't really need to be here, as he can assist me with any questions. However, I really like being part of this platform, so I believe I'm here to stay!

Sorry that I took two days to respond, but I have been swamped. What is the link to Dragon Naturally Speaking? I would love to try it out. I assume you also write most of your blog articles for your websites with this STT software?

I type quite fast, but I won't compete with your software's STT tech; you're cheating. 😂 I don't have the time to make very long comments. I try to be concise and still give quality responses.

As a relationship counsellor, I know the importance of treating my wife like a princess. I'm still quite traditional, and open doors for her, and so on... If I don't forget. She doesn't mind if I forget, though. It is important not to set expectations in relationships so as not to potentially be disappointed.

I won't be telling anyone when I upgrade. I want to see who's observant and who's asleep. 😎😆

It's no problem, there's no pressure, I know what it's like, we can't do everything! I will often use a timer when I'm working online, as it helps to keep me accountable, time can go quickly when you're having fun, but the time also quickly goes by, especially when I'm commenting or reading Wealthy Affiliate blogs!

I literally write everything with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Hein, it's much quicker for me, although it can make mistakes. It's much more accurate than it used to be, though. The most important factor is to have a decent microphone, I use a Sennheiser headset, which seems to work well, it's also important to have enough RAM on your computer, for smooth operating.

I have used it for years, so there probably is a little bit of a learning curve, but it's such a long time ago, it just comes naturally now. What is STT tech, Hein? I am really utterly amazed that such software exists, it's amazing that it works at all, but I don't really understand how it works. It can learn from documents, emails, our writing style, etc. It also seems to have good and bad days, the boffins say it doesn't, but in my experience it does. I can probably have days when it's 99% accurate and days when I seem to be changing almost every sentence. (Maybe a slight exaggeration) I think if someone is well spoken and speaks really clearly, that makes a huge difference to accuracy.

I think that's a great way to treat your wife, Hein, I like good old-fashioned solid values, it's good to respect the weaker sex. I can't imagine dealing with people's problems all day, but Bravo to you, for doing what you do!

Thanks for the warning, regarding your upgrade, I will keep my eyes open, although I normally notice quickly when someone is a free member.

I can't see the pricing, but it seems that it may be quite expensive at around R20000, and I don't know if it's a lifetime plan or yearly. That is around $1100 (USD). STT = speech-to-text technology, exactly what Dragon is. It sounds really fantastic, if only the price would be reasonable.

The weaker sex you say, she is not that weak at all. She hits quite hard and is feisty sometimes, so I need to be careful of what I say and how I say it. Otherwise, I may get a swift slap or a fist against my shoulder or something. 😆😃

I think they may have an issue with their shop, as it mentioned something about that the shopping cart was being upgraded, hence the prices may not be on their website. The present version is version 16, but I'm using version 15 point something. I was told that version 16 was more for Windows 11, something that I will have to upgrade to very soon.

Just in the last few years, Dragon does seem to have gone up considerably. It wasn't silly money when I had it, but it was a long time ago. I just have to pay for an upgrade now, I believe, I'm not sure how much that is. It looks like an upgrade is just over £300 in the UK, which is quite a bit for an upgrade.

When I wrote what I wrote, Hein, I thought you might say something, but I think you're partly joking! My late butcher friend in the village, used to say, "however petite they are, however small, however pretty, they all have potential to rear up!" He definitely had a point!

I think it's really good that you have upgraded, Hein, I don't think you'll regret it.

Nuer, Dinka, Arabic, then English. I write in Nuer, Dinka, and English, not well in Arabic, though I can read a lot now. I learned how to create websites 5 years (2010) before I found the WA in 2015.

I don't write code, but I can. I started by creating apps using Microsoft Visual Studio, and it was fun for me. I learned coding from sites like the W3 Schools and others.
