Make $ on forums with helpful affiliate links if you're already an "expert"

Just made over $5 in affiliate commissions two days ago from simple links on a forum and Facebook group related to my #1 passion! I'm currently building/editing a website related to it, but just a reminder that you don't always NEED your own high-ranking site to have money making potential. Although, it helps if you're already established in the niche and a respected member of the forum/group/etc.

This could work in various ways. If you're not already a member at various forums and groups (not just Facebook, could be Yahoo/etc) related to your niche when you start your niche websites, you could join and jump into the conversation. Not to sell, but to establish yourself as a helpful and active member of the community. Some forums will allow you to have a post signature, so you could use that to link out to your website. As I've seen just this month alone, this can be a legitimate strategy if people within your niche are looking to buy - just provide the opportunity for them by finding deals (don't underestimate eBay!!! check out the eBay Partner Network) and if they buy, you benefit too!

Also, my first blog post! I've been so busy doing random stuff I need to get back on the training more, but I've been figuring out Wordpress myself lately and have about two weeks of daily blogging on my site under my belt! Super excited to add to both of my sites.
