Why Scrolling in Wealthy Affiliate Is Better Than Facebook
Hello WA Fam!
Our blog for today is something most of us can relate to. We live in a world where scrolling has become second nature. For many, Facebook is the go-to platform endless updates, ads, and distractions. But when I spend time scrolling inside Wealthy Affiliate, the experience is completely different.
I have to admit, I’m guilty of some bad habits. I often spend time scrolling on Facebook and TikTok to “diversify” my mind. But now I’ve realized that I’d rather use my time scrolling here in Wealthy Affiliate. Why? Because every post, training, or success story teaches me something new about online business.
Here in WA, I’m surrounded by entrepreneurs who share real experiences, not just random updates. Scrolling here leaves me inspired to take action, not drained by comparison. Time spent here is an investment in my future, not just entertainment.
That’s all for today. Thanks for reading! If you’ve had a similar realization, please comment down below. Have a great day a head!

Hi Wen,
I really enjoyed reading your post! You are so right. Scrolling through Wealthy Affiliate is completely different from social media because every interaction here can teach you something valuable or inspire action.
It is easy to get caught up in endless feeds on platforms like Facebook or TikTok, but using that same time here really is an investment in your future. I love how you highlighted the difference between mindless scrolling and purposeful learning. It is something we all need to remind ourselves of from time to time.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am sure many people here can relate, and your post is a great reminder to focus on growth and action.
Best regards,
Kevin
Hello Kevin, thank you for the kind words. I completely agree with everything you’ve said.

That's true. sometimes the source of the luck of focus is the much information of different unrelated content. The brain also gets tired of being pulled from one thing to other without a clear plan in sight. That is what FB and Tiktok are to a person who has not figured out the next step yet.
You’ve nailed it, Godfrey. When we’re constantly bombarded with random, unrelated content, it’s like our attention is being tugged in ten different directions at once. Anyway, Thanks for sharing your thought.

Morning Rowena
Well said, whilst I would admit I still scroll through Facebook and Youtube. I find I now spend a bit of time scrolling through peoples post here on WA and some of it has really been enlightening.
Cheers, very good share.
Just saying ^_^
Hello Paul, Morning! I can completely relate to what you’re saying. Facebook and YouTube can be fun for quick entertainment, but there’s something different about scrolling through posts here on WA it feels more purposeful and uplifting. Instead of just consuming content, you’re engaging with people who share insights, experiences, and encouragement. That kind of environment can really spark new ideas and keep you motivated.
As long as we know how to balance, we are doing great. Anyway, thanks for the comment, Paul!

Morning Rowena.
That word balance is the key, and doing that takes discipline. I consider 'discipline' part of my 'Achilles heel' I can only do it in short spurts.
Just saying ^_^, but I've learned to forgive myself, and that ability helps immensely.
hello wen, this hit me right off from the header, I often spend time scrolling on Facebook, I'm a social media scroller i like X and a few others, but you "right on"
here in Wealthy Affiliate, the experience is completely different. i feel some of social media is a waste of time, WA is not, you learn every day
thanks for this learning blog post.
💯😁
Hello Timothy, It’s motivating to know we’re spending our time learning and growing instead of just being distracted. WA truly makes scrolling purposeful, and that’s what keeps me inspired every day.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts it really means a lot!

Good Point. I definitely spend a lot less time on Instagram than I used to. I used to spend about 3 hours every week on Instagram but now it might be half an hour a week at the most. And it is because how busy I am with Wealthy Affiliate.
