Hello WA fam, how are you all doing? I hope everything is going great with you. It’s been a while since I last posted a blog here in WA. Today’s post might not be directly related to online business, but I’m pretty sure it will serve as a good reminder for some of you.
Anyway, before I get sidetracked and lose my train of thought again, I’d better start sharing. Every weekday, I have so much on my plate: attending classes, feeding the pets, taking Melissa Jeane to school, cleaning the house, and tackling countless other tasks that never seem to get finished! I’m not complaining just acknowledging that I’m human too, and sometimes I get tired and burned out.
So today, March 5, at 5:30 p.m., I went up to the hill to watch the sunset, something I normally do whenever I feel too burned out. I went unprepared, not even dressed for an uphill hike. I only brought my water because I knew I would need it the most. I just wanted to breathe and be present for the perfect sunset.

I went up there carrying so much stress and heaviness, but I came down with a calmer mind and heart. I felt so much better after that hike; it was like my stress reliever. My responsibilities may not have lessened, but it was definitely the perfect place to breathe and reflect.
It actually ties in perfectly with the online business journey. Running an online business can feel a lot like my weekdays: endless tasks, responsibilities piling up, and the constant pressure to “get everything done.” Just like I carried stress up the hill, entrepreneurs often carry stress into their workday deadlines, marketing, customer service, content creation, and more.
- Unprepared but determined: I didn’t have hiking gear, just water, yet I still went. In business, you don’t always start with the perfect tools or plan, but taking action matters more than waiting until everything feels “ready.”
- Breathing space: That pause to watch the sunset gave me clarity. In online business, stepping back to reflect instead of grinding nonstop often leads to better decisions and renewed energy.
- Stress transformed into calm: I went up heavy, came down lighter. Similarly, when entrepreneurs allow themselves breaks, they return with sharper focus and creativity.
The lesson here is that success online isn’t just about hustling harder; it’s about knowing when to pause, breathe, and recharge. That balance keeps burnout from stealing your motivation.
To end this, I would like to remind you all that: “Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your business.”
That’s me, and our home is nestled among the houses you see downhill.
