Make Money on YouTube Without Showing Your Face (7 Faceless Video Ideas)
You never need to show your face on YouTube in order to make money.
There are channels with millions of subscribers making millions of dollars and nobody knows who's behind them.
You can stay completely anonymous if you want.
Even one of my favorite channels called Trader University almost never shows his face but still I have watched probably hundreds of his videos. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd be getting over $50,000/month from his channel without showing his face.
His setup cost is also probably close to $0 because he simply records his screen and shows things on the Internet. Anyone can do that.
Today I wanted to share with you different video ideas for making money on YouTube without showing your face.
1) Relaxing Music Videos
Millions of people worldwide type constantly on YouTube, "relaxing music" "background music" or similar music-related keywords.
There's a massive demand for that.
That's why there are a lot of channels pulling hundreds of thousands of dollars every year with their relaxing music channels.
For example, Yellow Brick Cinema - Relaxing Music channel seems to make just from YouTube ads the following numbers according to Socialblade:

Keep in mind that YouTube Ads are often just a fraction of channel's earnings. On my channels ads make way less than 10% of the overall income.
Let's say that this channel's ads earnings would be between Social Blade's estimate = $181,000/year.
If ads make 10% of this channel's total income it would mean that this channel makes $1,810,000/year with this estimate.
Not bad a for a YouTube channel!
2) Bitcoin Videos
Bitcoin has been growing at a massive rate.
In the first 14 years it went from 0 to around 200 million users and it's expected that eventually everyone on our planet will be using Bitcoin.
The growth just seems to be accelerating.
However, most people who watch Bitcoin videos on YouTube are young men who are more interested in numbers, data, math, logic and money.
I know this because I talk about Bitcoin on my channel usually every day.
They don't necessarily want to see your face. They simply want to learn the facts. They're smart and logical men.
=> Bitcoin is a perfect niche if you want to make money on YouTube without showing your face.
Trader University YouTube channel is a perfect example of that.

3) Educational/Informational
A lot of people listen to YouTube nowadays while they're doing something else:
- Cleaning
- Cooking
- Eating
- Sitting in a car/train/bus/plane
- Walking
Etc.
They don't necessarily watch videos but they just want to educate themselves.
In these types of videos you obviously don't need to show your face.
You can teach people about anything:
- History
- Politics
- Psychology
- Philosophy
- Etc.
You can also create so-called "motivational videos" which is a huge niche on YouTube.
I like to listen teachers such as Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, John Maxwell and other on YouTube.
4) "How to" Videos and Tutorials
When people type on YouTube, "how to..." they usually want to learn something specific.
They are not looking for someone's face.
They simply need a solution for a problem.
Again, you don't need to show your face.
HowToBasic channel has over 17 MILLION subscribers and as far as I know he has never showed his face (even though it's more like a comedy channel than a real "how to" channel).
5) Unboxing Videos
Received a new product?
Click record and show the unboxing.
This is also a perfect type of video for making money through affiliate marketing because you can simply leave a link in the description of the product you just received.
Several people who watch your video will probably want to buy it and you'll earn money when they'll buy through your link.

6) Videoblogs
Or "A Day in the Life of..." videos.
For example, if your video is about making money online (like my channel), I could simply put a title, "A Day in the Life of an Online Entrepreneur" or something similar and record what I do during the day.
A lot of people are interested in what is happening "behind the scenes" and you'll never need to know your face.
I know that many people would like to watch this because when I was doing TikTok videos many people were requesting for a "Day in the Life of..." video from me.
7) Animated Videos
You have probably seen some animated videos on YouTube that have made $10,000's each for their creators.
There are a lot of tools that you can do to create animated videos.
If you don't want to create them yourself, you can buy animated video services and someone else will create the video for you.
Animated videos work great because there's usually something happening in the video and viewers' attention stays on the video.
What do you think?

ohw for sure Roope, I never show my face in my crafting videos. Only once, when showing people my crafting place ;-)
ANd also the unboxing videos I will work on more, that is a good idea.
I now have 1200 subscribers, but it is still hard to earn good money though, I'm honestly a little bit disappointed at the moment about the revenue and I think that one needs thousands of subscribers to make a basic income from this, no?
Anyway, thanks for the tutorials!
Lizzy
Hi Lizzy! More subscribers helps but it doesn't directly guarantee a higher income.
There are YouTubers with 1,000 subscribers making more money than some with 100,000 subscribers.
Niche, video topics, monetization methods, etc. There are many things that affect your income. I go though those things in my previous WA classes if you wanna learn more.
For example, videos that generate more money are often different than videos that generate more views.
thanks, I have seen your classes before, but I think that I will need to go through them again, as at first, I was focussing too hard on getting 1000 subscribers haha!
Excellent info here, Roope! I always appreciate your informative shares, my friend!

This was very informative. I have been considering a YouTube channel but this is the exact thing that bothers me (showing my face). I am trying to determine if I don't want to out of fear or for another reason. If I discover it's fear, I will just do it to force myself to not be motivated by fear. If it's another legitimate reason, I might not. Great read. Thanks for sharing!
No worries Candi. Just start without showing your face if you more comfortable with that. If you ever want to show face in later videos then you can do that. Do what works the best for you! :)
