Is AI neutral? TRUTH revealed!

There's been a lot of talk recently here about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and specifically ChatGPT.

AI is often marketed as a "neutral" tool that doesn't take sides in controversial conversations.

The reality is that someone has obviously created those tools and they may have different opinions that you have.

Here's a quick example:

This is obviously just one of many similar examples.

I'm not saying that the tool would be bad but it's good to understand that the creators of an AI tool may be biased, have political connections and therefore spread false information.

It's just a good reminder to be careful when using these tools. You should always double-check the information.

As Bitcoiners like to say, "Don't trust. Verify!"

Wow, thanks for sharing Roope! Nope, that's not biased at all, lol. Very interesting to see that these AI are not neutral in certain topics. Not surprising really, but sad to see as well. Hopefully, most people will catch on and do their own research into these types of things.

I don't know too much about AI, but it's definitely great advice to always double check information for the actual facts. Thanks again for sharing this with us, Roope! I'm a bit late to read this, but just had to put my two cents in...excellent post!

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Nice one Roope!

Very true, especially when it comes to GPT3, which is one of the more widely used AIs powering content apps at the moment. Just want to point out that there are others available! Each have their own pros and cons, in terms of censorship or bias, and all of them carry the same risks to your rankings.

I use Jasper which is a pretty solid web app running GPT3, and ClosersCopy which is less for ranking and more for conversions. The latter has 3 different AIs you can use, including GPT3.

I LOVE this. What a terrific way to prove your argument. I am so glad I clicked on this post. I have been skipping a lot of posts lately and focusing on business instead.

Disclaimer - Just to be clear I do not like any elected people, one way or the other. They all profess one thing while doing another. That is the way of the world, which is fine, but I despise hypocrisy in any form.

It is invested in and owned by Microsoft. So there is that, and it will come with likely the same biases as does the company values.

The problem I see with AI as we march forward into the "future", is that AI could be conditioned to be bias and this has already been proven with the creation of a "racist chat bot".

Here is an article on this, sure it has been improved upon since then, but then WHO gets to decide what is racist and what is not. There will always be bias to some level in AI, and some level moderation and if there isn't, then it will be easily trained to perform malicious activity.

Yes. It's going to be interesting to see how the AI bot space develops. Hopefully there will be a lot of competition and different providers of AI bots. Then people can choose the best ones in the marketplace.

Hello Kyle,

That's interesting and quite concerning in a way! I don't know much about AI, but I do know we are being fed a lot of untruths in the media! If I understand AI correctly, over a period of time, I'm guessing it could spew out complete and utter nonsense and untruths! I could be wrong; I have been wrong before!

Have a great day.

Roy

Everyone will have their own AI bot, and have control of what they see...that is the idea of it. I think that the players in the space will eventually be us, and our inputs.

Who controls that is likely going to be big tech, they have a tremendous lead right now and budgets to make this happen.

Well AI certainly shouldn't be used for facts where bias could be involved. It is good for facts, where the answers are not biased (what is the capital of Canada). It can deliver those answers with efficiency.

Is XYZ a good product?

Will not trigger a proper answer, or one that is remotely accurate. This is where it breaks down and there are a lot of examples of this.

Yeah, so true, Kyle!

As you said, they definitely have a head start and the money behind them to back it up!

Hi Roope ! AI is programmed by humans. Therefore whatever data is entered is dependent upon the individual who is programming the entire machine!

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

That's true Maria
