Are YOU Afraid of Competition? Not After Reading THIS!

Have you ever heard of the following excuse from beginners?

"I can't do x or y thing because there's too much competition."

I just heard it again this week and it inspired me to write this post.

To be honest, when I was getting started, I also thought that competition might be a bad thing.

Now I've realized that most of the time only beginners are afraid of competition.

Once you've been in the game for a while you'll learn that competition isn't tough and oftentimes competition is just a positive thing.

Your Competition...

Take a look ANY industry.

Look at the statistics of how many people continue even one year in their business..

What about 3 years?

Or 5 years?

You'll notice that most of your competition will quit really fast. You'll beat them just by staying in the game.

Level of Commitment...

Some studies suggest that well over 90% of the people who buy online courses don't even finish them. A certain percentage of the people who buy a course don't even watch the first lesson!

I have videos on my YouTube channel where I say in the first 10 seconds, "this method works worldwide" and still some people ask in the comments, "Hey! Does this method work worldwide?" I think that shows a level of commitment of many people.

I have seen people asking for refunds for $1, $2 or $7 products. In fact, I've heard a couple of times people asking refunds even for a FREE Starter membership.

If you've been in the game for a while you've probably noticed that Most people are quitters.

Real Competition - It's Often GOOD!

99.9% of the people won't give any serious competition for you.

You'll beat that competition just by being consistent.

What about the 0.1% that gives you some competition?

First of all, it's never going to hinder you from achieving whatever you want. "Too much competition" is just an excuse for complete beginners who don't understand that most people quit almost anything they start in life.

Second, there are many situations where the competition is beneficial for you.

Let me just give you 2 examples:

1) Competition Brings You Traffic

Let's say you'll create a video about x product on YouTube. Let's say you're the only person who has created a video about that product. It doesn't happen to get a lot of traffic.

Then a big competitors makes a video about that same product.

Suddenly a lot of people are interested in that product and they start searching for it.

Many of those people come to your video.

Thanks to your competitor! Without him many of those people would have never even searched for your video.

2) Competition Makes You Better

Humans love challenge.

If you've ever played any game or sports, you know that a perfect game is something that's not too easy but not too hard. Something that challenges you but doesn't make you bored for being too easy.

Play against an opponent that's too easy? You always win? = Boring!

Once you can play with people who provide you some challenges, the game becomes much more exciting!

It forces you to develop your skills and become better.

You help them to become better and they help you to become better.

That leads us to the last point...

Competition = Your Friend

You don't want competitors that quit immediately.

You want competitors that challenge you.

In sports and in business.

If you've ever competed in any sports or games, I bet that some of your competitors have become your best friends.

You practice together. You analyze each other's games. You improve.

Embrace your competition.

It's probably the best thing that can happen for your business & game.
