It feels a little strange to be 3/4 of a century old, but it certainly is an exciting time to still be alive and I am looking forward to the next 25 years here at Wealthy Affiliate.
Farmer Humbke with his city daughter
I started the day at 7AM with a 'Gran Slam' breakfast plus hot apple crisp and ice cream at a local Denny's. My 54 year old daughter, Nadean, was treating me before she had to rush off to work. I remainded for while and drank 2 more cups of decaf, while watching it poured cats and dogs outside.

By 8:30AM it had cleared to perfectly blue skies and I made my way to join the Fort Edmonton contingent of 28 costumed interpreters with a 1928 model T Ford half ton and a one ton antique Ford carrying a 3 piece brass band. The heavens opened up and blue sky prevailed for the two hour Edmonton Kondike Parade. We must of walked 3 miles, but it was well worth it to hear the cheers and see all the kids on Jasper Avenue.
At 12:30PM I went to the Senior Association of Greater Edmonton where our group of 12 sang songs of the 1890's for a packed house. Marjorie Lilley, our director & piano player of 29 years was finally retiring at age 94 and we enjoyed cake together for the last time. I think her doctor told her she just had to slow down a bit.

It was a rush then, but I managed to get home to take my wife for a job interview at T and T, a Chinese super market. Later We celebrated at home with Carrie, our daughter, and I spent the rest of my day working on my family history site - https://humbke.com. and the family tree. I have just got to finish the blog of my great aunt Alvina Humbke's family, the Fountains, for publishing by the end of July.
Ended the day by playing an online poker game of "Texas Hold'em", which I lost, and then an hour watching a war documentary on TV.
Tomorrow is another day where I will become Farmer Humbke of the early 1900's at the Mellon Farm, Fort Edmonton Park where I get to answer questions and engage with visitors about all the old time tractors and farm equipment we have at our farm. It feels as if I am leading the life of my boyhood once again, living in a giant playground called Fort Emonton Park!
Now I am looking forward to what the next 25 years will bring my way here at Wealthy Affiliate
So far I have learned enough skills to create websites and write illustrated blogs etc.
