One Month's Progess. What's in the Future

In less than a month, WA has helped me create my new website

myphotographyskills101.com

It's still a little bare with only 4 posts and some photographs, but as a passionate photographer, I have many more ideas in my tippy-trunk to write a ton of posts. Having just completed training #10 in series 2, I'm eager to start making cash, and the reason is in my cover image. That's me in the middle surrounded by beautiful Ethiopian school kids.

What I've enjoyed most about WA is the community of people from all over the world. I've met a kiwi living in the UK (his words), a young mom of 2 little girls from Cairns, Australia, a guy from Finland, Debra who intoduced me to WA is from Wisconsin, and tonight I met young lady from Hong Kong and then Claude, 75, from Montreal. I'm three years his senior! I'm following many more than these 6 and I have a congrgation following me. This is one of the benefits of WA that I haven't found on other online marketing training sites.

What do I find frustrating? I was asked when writing my first blog. The most aggravating thing I find is: I go through the training exercise, taking notes, and when I move on I find that the page I land on is nothing like Kyle's and have to phish around, clicking here there and everywhere and eventually I find what I'm supposed to. For example, this blog. The instructions in #10 led me to a place that didn't exist on my laptop screen. However >Dashboard, and > on something else and found "BLOG". I guess it's another example of a senior moment or senior challenging.

Why am I here?

I'm a retired educator and with my wife, we travel the world for most of the year. For example, in 2019 we visited Australia for 2 months, then a 12-day tour of Moscow and St Petersburg, Russia, followed by Hamburg, Germany for the annual Rotary International Convention (How many Rotarians out there in WA?) and Holland before our flight home to Saskatchewan, Canada. In October we were 1 mth in Thailand and next week we're off to Ecuador for a month (been #1 in my bucket list for a long time). When we eventually get home in April, 2020, we'll be happy to have missed winter. Today, back home, it's minus 22 C, and -40 C is quite common!

We keep our costs down by using Airbnb and house/pet sitting. We're currently house sitting in BC. This is our 20th in 3 years. But we need cash to support the airlines that shuttle us around.

However, my main reason for being on WA is to make money to help kids like those above. Their schools need help with repairs, supplies, office equipment, and instruction on how and why to wash hands. Many of the students are extremely poor, so we help with clothes, extra writing materials and food. They are lovely children.

My main goal in the next 5 yrs is to fund the construction of a high school in a rural area. The government won't do that. The parents, who are extremely poor, are supporting the project by donating 1000 birr per family per year into a special school fund (that translates to $50.00 but is still a lot).

Sooo...!

Life is great. I'm part of a group that is 300,000+ strong, that is supportive, that has one objective in mind ($$$$$), and is world wide. That's why I'm happy to be here. And happy the founders, Kyle, Carson, et al, created in their wisdom this awe inspiring website.

Goodnight from Rocktrout (Chris Clinton) temporarily in British Columbia, Canada
