Providers of Domain Names, are they all the Same? Seems Not :(
1) Go Daddy: https://nz.godaddy.com
Our initial go to… but realised very quickly that after we had been back a few times that
a) the prices of the Domain Names we were searching were actually rising in price
b) And the price advertised, would actually increase after having added it to the Cart?
c) One Premium search saw the Price of the Domain rise $120 in 6 hours
My hunch (And I may be incorrect is that they have an algorithm tool, that is super responsive to the searches, and are adjusting prices accordingly based on search frequency.
One May Not notice it if you only search a Domain a couple of times, but if you are locking down a name brand & it's options for the future, then our suggestion (Now) is not to do multiple searches on Go Daddy.

2) Name Cheap: https://www.namecheap.com
The 24Hour wait until we had our details verified was not Ideal, as of course we were on a Roll, after our unfortunate experience with Go Daddy, and after having raised that issue with their tech support, received a letter (even though it was automated) from the CEO asking how our experience had been so far, to which i replied satisfactory, and within the space of 5mins, Then recieved a follow up from Tech Support IGOR, apologising, and assuring me that we would NEVER face that issue again.
Name Cheap's prices did not Fluctuate like Go Daddys, what you saw at the front end, is what you paid at the back end! Excellent & very reasonable indeed.
So Over all"

3) 1&1 Domain hosting http://www.1and1.com
We then came acrossWhilst waiting for Go Daddy & Name Cheap to get their act sorted
( 1 & Only 1 Word "WARNING!"
Initially it was the Price that got us $.99cents a year. But the after we registered the name,
we were sent no confirmation (1st red flag) Then calling support, neither their accounts nor security were able to respond to our question (2nd Red Flag) and then the kicker
We went to check SCAM ALERTS and You Guessed it (3rd RED FLAG!!!) Oh No!!!
A whole HEAP of Shocking testimonials about how people had been ripped off! (So Sad:(
Seeing is believing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZRgMqt6O0s
Shame on you 1&1 Robs Overall Rating ( NEGATIVE -10 /10)
4th & Finally) NameBrighthttps://namebright.com/nichenow.com
NameBright By Name & Nature: The least expensive and easiest of all 4 domain name providers we came across. easy to sign up & register with: Instant email resonse & verification & a super user friendly interface!
So the number 4 choice, has now become our No1 go to Option, & I believe even at this early stage that it will remain so for a while. Could not fault their service at all
Robs Overall Rating ( 10 /10)
Note: These results may not be typical: BUT however were exactly what we experienced in this order of events: No we are not affiliated to any of the sites.
I sincerely hope this review will be of some assistance to others within the WA family now & in the future so you learn from the negative issues we faced, and benefit from the positive outcome :)
Peace, Love & Prosperity :)

Hi Rob, I have found out that godaddy is monitoring what domain names people are searching for. If the name is good, but not sold, godaddy will buy the name to sell it for about 10 times the price. I used to be a member there and also noticed that my amount of spam went up; another dirty trick from godaddy. Either they sold my email address or used it to send me spam. The first year is always cheap, but every year they will raise the price because most people will stay with them. Now I use namecheap, but take my names away from there because they don't do anything about spammers. I have reported enough spammers without results, so I kept receiving spam. I am glad I can register my domains here at Wealthy Affiliate, without receiving spam.
