Getting Lost In The Experience
What Is It All About?
All of us came to Wealthy Affiliate with a similar goal in mind, and that's to become successful in online marketing. We've all heard a number of stories about people, just like us, having major success as online entrepreneurs. We figure to ourselves, if they can do it, so can we. Most times though we begin on the journey thinking about the money to be made, the time we will have to spend with our loved ones, quitting our day jobs and living life to the fullest. These are the things that drive us to keep going, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I too have those same dreams and goals. Being able to make your own work hours and getting paid while you sleep is golden. Wouldn't you agree? I'm sure you do.
Modifying Your Focus
Now while having the types of goals that I mentioned are great driving forces behind success, they don't always make the road getting there any easier to travel. That's because those dreams have yet to be realized. This in itself has caused quite a few people to stop chasing their dreams, usually when they were closest to the goal. So when things get tough and you feel like you want to give it all up, because you're not "seeing" results, try to remember what the results will look like when you obtain them, Or you can Modify Your Focus.
Here's what I mean
Remember in the beginning you were thinking about the results of success once you had it? Lets go back there but now let us think about the tasks themselves that must be done in order for us to achieve success. Those tasks are what makes us or breaks us. They must be undertaken and completed in order for us to realize our dreams right? So instead of beginning with the end results in mind, let's focus on on the beauty and complexity of the job at hand.
Getting Lost In The Experience
The beauty of working hard toward something is enlightening. It broadens our character by teaching us how to overcome obstacles, being resourceful, and how to think critically. The job or the tasks in front of you are the experience. There is something to learn in every experience. There's wonder and excitement in learning, so if we focus on the learning portion we're off to a good start. Now let's consider the feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment at completing a difficult task and doing a great job in the process. Think of how confident you feel. This is part of the experience as well. So now, if we concentrate on the wonderment and excitement in learning, along with confidence you have in your work ethic, the difficult and/or mundane tasks don't become things we get tired of doing because of how we view the task itself. The things we must do to become successful should not drain our spirits, but should enrich them with knowledge and solid character. When you concentrate on the task, and not worry about the end result, the end result comes quicker. This is it what happens When You Get Lost In The Experience.
