As gerald said robert, but you can also review the theme in real time before you activate it by previewing each alteration as you make them.
WP --> appearance --> themes --> click [activate] on one you like there or click [add new theme] at the bottom for more choices. Cheers!

There are literally thousands of free themes to choose from. This should help you narrow it down Choose a New Theme
