What is Quality?
We are constantly reminded that Google will use good quality content as ranking criteria. My question is how can a machine or a computer assess quality. Quantity yes but quality is a perception and will differ between different people. What is deemed to be 'good quality' for one person, maybe bad quality for another. I guess the only way a computer can assess quality will be based on what a person will say or write. Quality is an opinion and computers don't have opinions, do they?

I think the Google computers have opinions!
I don't always agree with how they choose to rank a youtube video on page 1, nor do I understand how an Amazon listing seems more relevant than a comprehensive article, but I'm just not masochistic enough to even think of trying to argue with Google's computers.
