For a newbie like me (who does not have past accomplishments in affiliate marketing) what can I say on the ABOUT ME page of my website without giving my visitors the impression
Without giving an impression that I am still a newbie?
For a newbie like me (who does not have past accomplishments in affiliate marketing) what can I say on the ABOUT ME page of my website without giving my visitors the impression
Hi
You may review below resource What is an About Me page? - Examples of About Me Paragraphs
There's no minimum, you can write as many words as you like. I would elaborate as much as possible, this is the first contact your visitors have with your site, they want to know the founder, what's the site about, can they establish rapport and above all can they trust the site and is it content worthy and user experience friendly. What would be your USP (unique selling point) - Think of it when you walk in a store, what would you like to see and what would your first impression be. If it doesn't hold to your standards you'd leave, same with your about me page, if the visitor doesn't feel at ease, they will click away.
Simply said, just be you!
Thanks Abie
But I think you do not understand my question. My concern is not whether there is a minimum of words to say or not. My concern is that I have no past experience in affiliate marketing yet I want my website to lead visitors to Wealthy Affiliate so that they can end up being my downlines on Wealthy Affiliate.
Right yes, I was just pointing that there isn't a minimum. No worries.
However totally you may include a short paragraph in middle of your about me or more towards bottom, highlight few benefits the WA platform offers and include your affiliate link - that's $ sign top menu.
We all started where you are at right now, you'd make out in no time, it is natural to feel concerned.

Hi Kyle
I am stuck at the ABOUT ME page. The reason why I finally chose the Men's Hair Loss niche, was because, when I was clueless on what niche to pick, I heard you me
Robert363,
Do you suffer from hair loss? Or do you know anyone who does. Your about me should let people know a little about you and how you are going to help them. Even if you don't have hair loss you can still talk about the problems and solutioins.

I would rather choose something that resonates with me, passionate and genuinely interested in; could possibly be a hobby or an interest, and know so well you can write plenty original content about.
ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.
You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.
When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:
So I want to help people with ____________________ ?
Fill in the blank and you are going to get closer to a specific audience. A Niche is A Group of People Looking for Stuff If you are New and Not quite yet figured (niche infographic within) Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.
Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to cover another subcategory.
See example blog post below Succeeding With Golf Balls, Scaling With Shoes! You can do a google search
Your niche + affiliate programs
Your niche + affiliate programs + location
and see what results you get
Meanwhile I'd ask as many questions as I want to get clarifications.
Thanks, Abie.
One of the reasons why I chose the Men's Hair Loss niche even though I was not well informed about it, is that I had no clue what niche to pick.
So when Kyle (in one of his videos) said that there is no such a thing as a wrong niche, I then decided to pick 'any niche' in order to get started.
I sit down with myself and jot down everything that you have fancied in the past, talk about every day, things you do regularly or if making an acquaintance, what would you say about yourself if that acquaintance wants to learn more.
Let me know what that is, then I try work with you drilling down a more focused niche.
I don't know is that related to the Hair Loss, you may have to yes if you do not want to pursue.
It is better to start with a siterubix subdomain around a focused niche and build up content, down the line have your own dot com and once decided on a niche and a name, and as some affiliate programs do not work with a subdomain. Cost of which is $14 yearly each privacy included. You can then move your siterubix to your dot com applying the move feature found within the site manager, an easy process.
Hi Abie.
In response to your question, I play piano and I really love composing and programming music.
However I was hoping to do something else other than music.
Something like promoting other companies' affiliate products and services which have monthly recurring commissions.
May be a good idea to start with that as obviously it resonates with you and have a strong connection, you know your stuff well and can convey your message to a target audience able to reach them and would not take much out of your time to do research, that's a plus.
With promoting the right affiliate programs you would see income faster than if you were to start something you do not know so much, hope this makes sense, however I am hearing you.
You may start choosing a style i.e. classical, jazz, musical theatre, pop/rock, and liturgical
Perhaps Classical piano playing techniques for beginners.

Or
You can do a google search
Your niche + affiliate programs
Your niche + affiliate programs + location
and see what results you get
You may also go another direction, for example the Affilaite Bootcamp (make money online niche) you would need head to Your Initial Framework Of Content And choose a target audience starting out via resource below Target Audiences for Wealthy Affiliate However, we always recommend starting out with own niche vs the Affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive, you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able scratch the surface. (vs. 100 articles own niche)
You'd also need to do the whole Bootcamp in its entirety before you can commence with your site.
Recommendation is to focus on ONE niche at a time, even Kyle himself would recommend the same.

Would be nice to hear how you are getting along. Much obliged and best wishes.

I spotted one post with a swear word and I found it disrespectful to the rest of the members who may find such language offensive.
Do you allow the use of swear words on this platform?
