Q4 Realisation Mode

I’ve not dropped a blog update for a while, so here’s a quick one.
Lately, I’ve been deciding whether to shift focus into traffic generation or continue building out more affiliate opportunities. My thinking is this — traffic is only worth chasing if there’s enough monetisation potential ready for it to convert.
So today I hopped into Google Trends to see how my existing roundup posts line up seasonally. Then the realisation hit: we’re in October — peak buyer’s season. Q4. And while I knew that, it hadn’t really clicked that I’m already a month behind the curve. Most publishers had their Christmas content scheduled back in August.

So, even though I’ve been quiet lately, plodding away with my project, I wanted to drop in to say this:
If you, like me, are working your affiliate site as a side project and thinking, “this year’s flown by,” remember — Q4 is the golden quarter. Every bit of content you publish now has the potential to perform during the highest-converting time of the year.
Interestingly, I saw Jay in the live chat earlier mentioning how his Pinterest growth is picking up — and from the looks of it, outperforming Google referrals (I'm basing that on this image). That’s a great reminder that even if you feel late to the seasonal content cycle, there are fast-track ways to get your content in front of a relevant audience quickly.
My next move: finish my 17th roundup post, then jump back into the core training (Phase 2 > Lesson 3 of 6) and put a bit of a spin on it — focusing on a content marketing silo for the most seasonally relevant roundups on my site.
The goal for me is to have the site ready for the eyes it’ll attract over the next 8–10 weeks.
And if you’re also juggling a side project — actually, whether it’s a side hustle or a full-time gig — now’s the time to line things up so your content can ride the holiday wave.
