This is me getting bare and crying out for help. I have been here for a long time, maybe in the background, but always here; I never left.

Now things happened, I really don't know what or how to be exact, it started slow and kept going down until Im now looking at zero sales every month for the past 2 years. Traffic died gradually since 2020. In the past, if 3 days passed without a sale, I started to worry, (amazon commissions are low so you need as many sales as to make it worthwhile) but now zero sales is the norm.

I`m not very creative and struggled for the longest time choosing a niche.

Now I need to move things. I'm struggling to find a semi-niche in the travel niche, and I need your help getting there.

My niche was microdermabrasion, but I'm moving on from personal experience, turned 50, and I realize that as your skin changes, there are some things skincare can't fix. I`ll be lying if I say this product can fix this skin issue(again, personal experience), and I no longer want to be in the skincare niche anyway.

A second niche I have in mind is home decoration but then again I can't figure out how to nail it to the smallest niche it can be.

Please dont hold back, every suggestion will help me get closer to a tight niche, I already have a website but I know I need to niche it down tightly, like traveling in Switzerland,or solo travel, but then I feel it`s still too broad as my site is 2 years old with zero sales.

About my skincare site, it`s 8 years old.I was a cosmetologist/esthetician in my younger years but lost interest, later when I found out about online, it was yes, I can help a larger nmber of people without physically working in the field.
But as said that has changed.As a 50+ year old woman my skin suffered from this nameless teen acne that I still have today although my facial care products in my bathroom are enough to buy a cheap small second hand car and nothing helps.That`s not counting the money I give out for instore facials to help things out.So I have lost trust,hope and belief of skincare fixing this or that and I cant face myself telling the lie to people to use this/that to fix the problem if I cant even fix my own.

Lovely tips,to be honest, I have never thought of using chatgpt for niche research.When I got started online, chatgpt was not a thing and by the time they became a thing, things were already going downhill on my site so I kind of took a break.To be honest, it`s only last month(Nov) that I first used chat gpt

For what you say it seems that you have a website that is reliant on Amazon sales, and I would suggest that you try to diversify and branch out to bring more people to your site/niche via different sources. The increase in AI-generated search responses is having an affect on search engine traffic but there are other ways to drive traffic to your site and gain sales. I suggest you watch some of Jay and Eric's classes on Facebook and Instagram and also Vitalie's classes about Pinterest.
This would be a start I feel to extend your reach and find your audience.
Remember, the market is always changing so to survive, we all need to adapt and change too.

Thanks, I think the market changed so drastically in the past years so I got totally overwhelmed and just slowed down until I kind of stopped unoficially.

Stop and think about something specific within home decoration and begin researching it.

Ask yourself this.

Can I create content to support this idea?

If someone lands on my site, would they immediately know who this is for?

Think about spaces or situations that make decorating harder than normal.

Small apartments where nothing fits right.
Rental homes where you can’t drill or paint.
Homes with kids where decor has to survive chaos.
Pets that destroy everything that touches the floor.
Awkward rooms. Slanted ceilings. Dark basements. Narrow hallways.
Big decorations with a small budget.

Choose one and remained focused on it. It just needs to be something that interest you.

I would also suggest keeping that sit sending traffic to amazon up and going. Remember, search intent changes and can go dormant, it can also explode at anytime with a passing trend. Just my two cents.

Thanks, but the site that was sending traffic to Amazon, as already mentioned, that traffic died.It started gradually in 2020/21 that I did not notice at first,but as time has gone by,it now brings zero sales plus, I nolonger have any interest in the niche from personal experience
