Are you doing email forwarding with it? If so, when you're testing it to see if you receive emails, you can't send from the same email you're forwarding to. It will see this as an error.

Have you considered writing a review post on each item and providing a link to the item in that review and then write a top 10 post with a brief synopsis for each, linking to your review post that contains the actual affiliate link?
Not only will that address your concern but now you have 11 posts on your site where you once had only one...

See this link, this post has tens of affiliate links, try to count if you can. It is not only number 1 in Google but it is also Featured post in Google. Not my post unfirrtunately.

I'd suggest putting the links in a page and then linking to that page in your post.
You're not looking to get the page ranked, just the post. Make sure the post is keyword rich and entices the visitor to click on the link to the page.
