The Bad

I woke up and got an email from who I thought was Amazon. The email had said my account has been locked and all my orders are going to be canceled if I don't act immediately. So, I clicked on the link and started reading. It was trying to have me put in my credit card information for the account, so that was an immediate red flag. I switched over to my actual Amazon account, and I was not locked out.

Warning, if you receive an email like this, do not click the link. It's a scam to try and get your information, and it looks incredibly legit. Even had me put my Amazon account password in and everything. I'm hoping I don't get my information stolen.

To top that off, my fiance got an email that someone had broken into a house on his job site. He works as a carpenter. But two grand of his tools had been stolen.

The Good

Took my little one to the pumpkin patch. We had a lot of fun and she smiled and laughed a lot which is always the best feeling! Here she is so Happy! She is definitely the reason I do anything. My dad came along too and it was really nice to have some family time.

Hi Rachel, thank you for sharing.
I'm sorry to read about the scam and thanks for alerting us to it. It might be an idea to change your Amazon password if you haven't already.
Also sorry about your fiance's tools being stolen. Lovely photos of your little one.
Best wishes,

Delroy

I'm sorry to read about the scam and thanks for alerting us to it. It's good that you recognized it wasn't legit. Also sorry about your fiance's tools being stolen. It's great you were able to have some special family time. Lovely photos of your little one :)

Thank you!

So glad the day's ending was positive
These scam have been going on for a long time
Now you know never to click
Hope you information is still safe
Personally, I would change my Amazon password
So sorry your fiancée's tools were stolen
But spending time with your little one made up for it

Thank you for the kind words!

You're welcome

Oh no, on the first part, Rachel! NEVER even read those--chunk them and do not click on the link--even by doing that they can still garner information form you and at best only set you up for many more spam emails like this!

Oh, I know it lol; Lesson learned, sadly; I probably wouldn't have even touched it if it wasn't Amazon, and I am just becoming an affiliate for them.

Thanks so much for your advice!

You're very welcome, Rachel! You will know for next time, and hopefully there was no additional harm done this time around!

Jeff

Thank you for sharing that Amazon info, Rachel (thanks for the post in general too). Scary stuff, then your fiance's situation too ... wow, a heck of a day indeed. But, the post had a happy ending that brought a smile to my face :)

Thank you and you're welcome!
