Hello Friends,

Took a break on the blogs for a couple of days. I've just had a bad couple of days. Starting with getting a pinched nerve in the bottom of the side of my neck that was shooting pain into my should and down my side. I have never had one like this but it was def painful to move and one side of my back is notice swollen and tender. Has anyone had this happen?

Anyways I'm blogging to say I have officially been a part of this amazing community for a month now. I feel proud of myself, I have accomplished so much in one month! And I have learned so much. It is so great to know I have this whole community to talk to and ask questions.

Well, I hope everyone has a good week that all I have to say for now.

Rachel

So sorry to hear you have been in so much pain. Hope it goes away completely and doesn't return.

WoW1 It's hard to believe you have been here for one month already. Time certainly goes quickly.

You have accomplished a lot. Congratulations. It's so great having you here.

Enjoy your next month and many more beyond that.

Cheers!

Rachel,
you could make a rice pack to warm and relax your neck.
Have you got an unmatched sock? Or better yet a tube sock?
Take a cardboard tube from an empty paper towel or T.P. roll and place that into the sock for a "funnel.
Pour dry uncooked rice, which is pretty cheap into the sock, and tie it loosely with the end of the sock, moving the knot down to tighten it up around the rice in the sock.
Put it in the microwave a minute at a time, usually not more than 3 minutes. *Remember all microwaves are different!

Wrap your rice pack again with a small towel, and use it to relax your neck muscles.
Hope that helps for little or no little money. I keep mine in a coffee can with lid to keep critters out of it, and replace it in another year, as long as the rice is not crumbling. Some people use dry beans but they stink and are more likely to burn.

Watch your posture when you are typing. Be sure that the
support parts of your body and the weight parts of your body are in the best alignment. Take a 5-minute break every hour. There are time apps you can use to help with this.

Your well-being comes first Rachel, never do complete neckrolls, without breaking it into steps. like relax and roll your head down on your chest. let it relax and hang forward, then tilt it slightly to the right (slightly!) and back to center, rest. slowly tilt to the left so you get a tiny stretch, and back to center, and rest.
if you are up for side to side, it's head to shoulder and up, on both sides, Go slowly feel the stretch!
Repeat if desired. the one to the back is slowly lower head to your back, tiny s-l-o-w stretch to the left, then center, to the right, and then center.
Oh my goodness, O could just take a short nap thinking about this.

Cats always take time to s-t-r-e-t-c-h, and relax as needed.

This is for entertainment only, I am not a doctor, and all of the disclaimer stuff.
Be good to yourself Rachel, We need you!
Much LOVE,
Suzay

Wow thanks Suzay that is fantastic information! I’m going to go make that right now. I’ve been using a heating pad but it’s stiff and has a annoying cord. I really appreciate you sharing this with me!

You made it! congrats!

I wish you the best as you keep going to your goal.
