Are you the Rabbit or the Turtle
What's interesting is that there are successful marketers who don't believe in creating a blog or establishing a presence by doing keyword research, seo, article writing, and those sorts of things. At least, that's what they say. I actually believe some of them but, just hang in there with me for a while as I try to explore my thinking on this. As I write, my mind takes me to someone who does a tremendous amount of webinars, makes a continuous amount of products, does an awful lot of 1 on 1 coaching and, basically, does quite a bit of work.Makes tons of money, but that's their way and I say, more power to them. Paid advertising would be their way of attracting visitors initially. bear in mind, these are just thoughts I'm sharing right now just based on a perception. Now, there's nothing wrong with paid versus free. As we all know, it's actually all paid, it's just a matter of what your time is worth to you. The thing is though, would you rather have a free visitor or one you paid for. Would you rather not have to do all that work first and just create a good Squeeze page, sales page, product and purchase good targeted, traffic. Not even create your own product, just sell affiliate products instead. That's even quicker, right. Sounds good? So what's your point, Robert? Okay, just give me a minute, I'm getting there. Don't forget,I'm just having a thought. But this thought comes with over 2 years of experience in the business also.
The point is, I believe that the stronger a foundation you start your business with, the more success you will have in the long run. This is exactly what Wealthy Affiliate teaches. In the short term, of course you can create a funnel and make money rather quickly, but with no foundation you'll have to do the same thing over and over again. And you need a nice budget. Be ready to do some tweaking(work)
As long as you provide quality, relevant content that people want to see you will experience more long term traffic. It stands to reason that you're going to bookmark pages that you know you can always go to for information that helps you. I think I'd rather have someone find my page and opt in on their own free will rather than the other way around. So this requires you do the work up front and establish some authority. Do the articles, create a blog, do the keyword research and so on. Although the work has to be done, if you really love this business, you'll find that it's really not that bad at all. With the right frame of mind it can actually be fun.

Most people don't understand that it takes time. Good article.
