24 hours a day is not enough

Every year in our household we have a pre Christmas clean out using the rule that if it has not been used for 6 months or nobody remembers why we brought it then it goes into a pile for sale in what we like to call the great eBay Christmas bonus.

Our daughter decided to join in this year and parted with some computer games that she deems too babyish now she has reached the grand age of eleven.All went well with the games selling for a tidy price so while waiting for payment I started to pack them up for shipping only to noticed that one of them had the wrong game in the wrong case!

Panic sets in, sold something on Ebay that I don't own and has she even got the game anymore. Blamed myself for a minute as my sporadic OCD usually stops me from making this sort of dumb arse mistake (spent years working with very high voltages and checking things over and over has become second nature) then the idea of trying to bluff some feisty eBayer into accepting the alternative game forced me into action, it was time to face her bedroom or what my wife refers to as "The landfill".

Digging around in the permafrost of crap that she piles into every cupboard and drawer when we ask her to tidy her room I found it wedged between a crumpled poster of Justin Bieber and some naked bratz dolls all missing their feet.

Clutching my prize and looking at the devastation my searching had caused to the little ones bedroom the joy of keeping my 100% eBay feedback was only surpassed by the thought that when her mother sees all the rubbish she has been hiding away, just shoving it back into the dark places is not going to fly and a proper bedroom tidy will be on the cards.

Lessons learned today....
