Moving forward there is a new process in Massachusetts for keeping and obtaining your medial marijuana privileges. Many of you may already now know, but starting February 1st of this year, (Last week if your reading this now) the Department of Public Health is now requiring electronic certifications from their medial marijuana doctor (The Holistic Center in Boston Massachusetts). That means those paper certifications starting Feb 1st do not mean anything!
The main reason for this is that the new medial marijuana dispensaries are required to log into a new government database where the patient is registered. Once you, the patient, goes to see the physician to re-register, and once you are re-approved, you will be then added to this database. When the patent goes to a dispensary to obtain medical marijuana, all they will need is your state issued ID or drivers license.
If you have already been certified by the Holistic Center in the past, this re-certification is an easy process. Massachusetts is a fairly strict state in general so this is no surprise that patients are required to re-register. This is also a new process for most of the US so don’t be surprised if the process changes once again down the road.

Interesting, but not at all surprising. Down here in Florida it was such a near miss on legalizing medical marijuana- but the legislature is working on a bill to get it done anyway. I would not be surprised if, when it does inevitably happen, we have to be registered with electronic certification as well.
I hope it comes soon. I have so much pain, and I refuse to take my prescription pain medicine unless I am barely able to walk - and ibuprofen does nothing for me so I just don't take that anymore. I have a son and won't do anything illegal to obtain this alternative - but I will definitely talk with my doctor when it becomes a legal option.

Thanks man I know how you feel, I was in a construction fall, I was doing a chimney and the staging let go, I went down 3 stories with the planks and 2 stacks of brick. I landed in a pile of sand with the planks and brick on top of me, I spent 1 year in the Hospital. I use it to.

Having lived in Hawaii and Colorado, I am familiar with MJ. The health benefits have been under wraps, under cover and hidden away once the government took out patents on Cannabis in 1937. Made the medicine illegal, because basically, it was free. Finally, the government see's the benefits and the laws are changing all across the country. How it all unfolds? Is an interesting social whatever.
