How to Make Your HomePage Static

Note: I Hope that I canpost this on WA. I know that you can't put links on this blog – atleast I couldn't. So, I just wrote out in word form for the webaddress. I want to let you know that I have no financial interestin any of the web addresses here; I'm writing this solely inorder to provide value to you.

First, I want to saythat I got my website up. It's just one page right now, but more willbe added shortly. In the meantime, here are some cool things to helpyou in your business...

Making Memes

A meme, for those whodon't know, is a photo that has text on it. It's usually funny butthere can be other kinds, too. It's good to have one or more on yourwebsite as memes are fun and engaging. And that is what you want –people to comment on it and share it. With sharing it, your meme cango viral; people will find your website and some will need yourservice or products that you are selling.

To start off with, youcan take your own photo and add text to it or you can get free publicdomain photos. One good place is at morguefile dot com. Do a searchand find a good picture. Then you can add text to it.

Now, this can be aniche business for you. Do you know that there are nearly 10,000searches a month with the word “meme?” For the keywords: “memegenerator” there are about 1 million searches a month.

Do a search for “memegenerator” and there you can add your text. There are many freeonline generators to use.

You can sell them orgive them away to your clients. You can create a PDF e-book with abunch in it to sell or give away. Are you starting to get creative inthe things you can do with it? If not, take a few minutes out andstart writing some ideas down.

What about overlayingyour picture on another picture or clip art? You can do this with atransparent background. This can be done online and for free, too.

If you go to: burnerdot bonanaza dot com you can get a free background burner. So, whatis this good for? Example, if you want your picture with a differentbackground, such as a cartoon background, you can have your cut output on it. Or, you can have your picture super imposted on the beachthat you never were at. Of course, you can have any object “cutout” and placed over any other picture.

There are businessesthat would be interested in this – if they are made aware of it!But that is part of your job – making businesses aware of thingsthat can be done and how it can help their business. This is aservice you can offer to local businesses.

“How to”Anything

The next thing I wouldlike to talk about is, “how to, bla, bla, bla.” Did you know thatyou can find how to do just about anything in Google? If you want tolearn how to grown an organic garden, you can find that out. If youdo your search on YouTube, you can find a video on this. I had knownabout this for years before I really used it. When I have a computerproblem – and who doesn't – there is usually a help online in theform of a “how to...” video. Going to YouTube is more useful thanGoogle, as following along in a video is a lot easier.

So, describe yourproblem and see what you come up with. You don't have to type in “howto,” but just the other keywords.

And, talking about “howto” for computer problems or for how to do something around thehome, have you thought about using this in writing good content onyour website? Have you thought about this in writing your nexte-book? It's a great source of information. Of course, you shouldre-type it to make it your own style but it a rich source ofinformation.

How to Make YourHome Page Static

Since you are all onWordPress, you might want to know how to make your Home page static.Why would you want to do something like that? You can be sure thateveryone sees your introduction and read the purpose and aim of yourwebsite. What you do is, have one Page as your blog page. You canassign any page as your blog page and give it any name. Some names toconsider for your Page that will have all your latest Posts are:

To do this you have togo to Settings, then Reading. To get the details of this, I suggestyou do a search on YouTube with the words: “how to create staticweb page” (without the quotes, of course).

On your Home page youshould tell people where all your blog posts are IF your Page shouldhave a different title than “Blog”. The purpose for all this is,that people will miss the most important content that is on yourWelcome Post as it would be buried way down on your list or evensomewhere in last year's Post. This is what I did with mine.
