I just checked my site to see how the indexing is coming along. When I checked as www.site.com, n

I may not be able to answer exactly as to why Google index your site based on "http://abc.com" and not "http://www.abc.com"

However, Google Webmaster Tool (GWT) allows you to set your preferred domain. You can test his out by verifying both your http://abc.com & http://www.abc.com. Once both are verified, you can select your choice domain at GWT.

Look at it this way - there's no concern if your domain ip is the SAME for your site, whether it is with 'www' or without 'www' - you may use this to check > https://www.site24x7.com/find-ip-address-of-web-site.html

Hope the above helps!

Fred,

Thanks, that helps. Kind of thought that is what happened.

Google has done that with mine too, but I don't know why.
