subsections! HELP

Hi!

I am just wondering how to make subsections. I will explain my scenario:

I have made a nutrition page and I would like to make 3 sub sections under that nutrition page (fun facts, interesting foods and recipes).

Once I have made the sections, I was wondering how to ensure that each article/ post I write ends up in the appropriate subsection once it is no longer visible on the blog scroll.

Is this possible?

Thank you

Sarah :)

Gota love the great talent here at WA always with good answers

@fastedie147 and @MmmmBalf - Thank you both so much. It now makes a lot of sense. I will be able to implement both instructions to hopefully achieve my goal. I appreciate the help! :)

Hey. This is simple. But its easy when you know how! Here are the steps;

Step 1. Look the down the dashboard and add 3 pages or as many as you want. Make sure you give the pages titles ie funfacts interesting foods and recipes. You can add as many pages as you want but i don't recommend more than 5/6 otherwise they disappear off the top of the the website navigation bar. Press save menu. (always remember otherwise you lose your work like i have on many occasions)

Step 2. Now you have your pages look down the dashboard to appearance - menus and you will see your pages are in the left hand column under pages.

Step 3. Select the pages you want in the menu page and click "add pages". You will now see your pages have moved over in the menu structure on the right hand side of the page.

Step 4: You can now move the pages up and down depending on the order you want them to appear in the title bar.

Step 5: Heres the really clever bit - took me ages to understand how to do this. You can now create more pages and drag them over and put them underneath other pages These are called "submenus" which form drop down menus in the title bar. So for example if you have a page on recipes and you want to have 10 sub pages of different recipes like "5 minute chicken salad" or "low calorie Salmon pasta" you simply create the pages in the normal way follow the steps 1-4 and now you can click and move the recipe pages you just created underneath your main recipe page by clicking and hold your mouse on the sub recipes and dragging underneath slightly to the right (indented) and you will see this has formed a sub menu. Really clever stuff.

I hope this is clear. If not just shout and ill make a video demo or you can skype me at anthonystone007

Have a great day

Anthony
