4 Month Dormant Site Earns Me My First Sale. Shocked.
Around May, I decided to take a break this Summer and let my site, High Fidelity Sound Haven age and earn some more trust with Google. Occasionally, I'd check in on the site. While the site was dormant, I was STILL seeing growth in impressions, clicks, and even had someone comment on one of my posts. I replied back. This was two weeks ago.
Well today, I decided to drop in after finally working on another post about a set of speakers. I opened Analytics causing my jaw to drop. 460 impressions and 30 clicks! That is almost double two weeks ago. Again, no new posts since May.
Well, I decided to check my Amazon Affiliates account. I was expecting the usual clicks, just a bit more this time around as the huge increase in organic traffic got me. The line graph loads, and I see a green bar that I've never seen before. BINGO!. I'm shaking as I am typing this. Literally. It was year ago that I built this site. My effort, while nowhere near as much as most, still paid off. Now, it's time to get back into the game and CONTINUE punching these keys and pumping out more content. I'm back in it now!
If you're reading this and have a dormant site, I highly advise checking on it once in a while. As, it appears in my case, as if you have the content out there, it's going to rank. This is despite whether you are active or not. Quality content ranks. Simple as that. Good luck to the rest of you. That first sale is so worth it. Literally.

That's incredibly awesome friend. Once you get the first sale, it gives you the high to work harder, so that you can repeat it with the same or better results. All the best!
