My 1st Website ...The Big Time
So, I published my 1st website yesterday !!! I am SOOO Excited !!! I took a little bit of a different approach. As I stated previously, I learn by doing... and I needed to feel free to make mistakes so that I can learn. However, to build something, I need a reason... Like WA said, your niche.. Well...
I suppose I will need to provide a little bit of the back story. In an attempt to be known and market our new company, I started a small argument with one of my twitter followers. And to Win the argument, I bought his domain name and built a website... ( you can view it at My 1st Website !!! - Click Here - and it provides a better back story) (The guy I was "arguing" with is associated with a Podcast and the plan was to be asked on to promote our new business - Free advertising is the best advertising)
Anyway, back to learning by doing...Now that I had a reason to build a website, (to start this "little war" in hopes to be asked to participate on his show)... now I just needed to get some hands on experience. The site is super simple and We launched it ASAP (to keep the momentum going from the "argument") And, yes I needed a little bit of help from my wife. I must have looked for the "How do you change the back ground picture" for 30 minutes or more...

I am SO Excited, that I can't wait to update the website with the new developments !!!! The Whole thing happened so FAST !!! One minute, I was asking a guy to follow me back on Twitter, next, I was doing an Podcast interview!!! HOW FUN !!!!
During the interview, I was asked about social networking and NO KIDDING... I basically tried to recall what I had learned HERE from the WA Website !!! HAHAHA... I think I did a Pretty Good JOB and the knowledge I have picked up from here and OF COURSE...from MY WIFE ...Made me sound like the expert or at least NOT like an idiot!!!
