I can't see any Adsense ads at all Renae. Use a Custom HTML widget instead of what you're using now.
1. Deactivate the Ad Inserter plugin.
2. Go to Appearance > Widgets and find the Custom HTML widget.
3. Insert the widget into your sidebar
4. Paste the Adsense code into the widget.
5. Save the widget.
6. Position the widget where you want the ad to appear.
7. Check your website using a different browser (your browser may "remember" what you used to see) .
Oh man...I've added so many ads with ad inserter! I hate to start all over. It wasn't doing this. There's gotta be a way. I bet I can place other widgets how you've described, though. Thanks for your thoughts. And thanks for the follow too!

I asked if there are any ad codes for ads pertaining to tennis. I have a similar question as Renae but more on tennis. Hope this clarifies
You have to partner with an advertiser first.
That could be Amazon, Adsense or others.
Get the ad code from them and either add the code manually or with a plugin (e.g. Ad Inserter).
