No Power. No Water. But we're alive.

Cyclone Gita, upgraded to a C2, came and left. We were without power and water for 24-36 hours but grateful to God that we overcame the storm. Houses and businesses were torn down but thank You Lord that no one lost their lives. It's a scary thing to be in a natural disaster. Through it though, one tends to appreciate the little things in life.

My husband's cousin lost her entire house. As we sat in my mother in laws house looking out to the collapsed building, I kept thinking, how are they going to rebuild? Only the husband works and he makes less than US minimum wage, way less.

My house was surrounded by water because the river next to us couldn't hold the amount of rain that Gita brought with her so it overflowed almost bringing the water indoors. Part of our tin roof ripped off and the rain is now leaking everywhere in my kitchen.

I'm grateful for the money we have but I sit here and imagine how much more can I do if we were financially free to take care of our immediate family as well as help our extended family and friends.

I know I can't help everyone but I now have a more deeper meaning to my goals with WA. The last time we went through something like this, we had no money and I felt so helpless that I cried myself to sleep every night after putting my babies to sleep. This time around, we have funds and I have hope because God brought me to the doorsteps of WA. I don't cry myself to sleep, I wake up excited to see what's next in the course because after all is said and DONE, God is pushing me to a life of abundance using WA as the tool.

The last couple of days without power was hard because of the heat. But, I did not even worry because I knew that once power was restored, WA would still be there waiting for me to pick up where we left off.

It's a powerful thing to know that no matter ones circumstances, God has a way out.
