Hello happy new year ๐ then you must remember Mummers parade ๐
Absolutely, darling. I live in North Philly 10 ah-mazing years.๐
Pasadena Parade seems amazing, just Wow
It's quite a work of art when you see how much work is put into each float. The nice thing is you can see them up close and personal after the parade. The Mummer's parade is also a great eye-catcher. I never missed a parade when I was in town.
(Edited) Did you know that the volunteers start working on the floats to next years floats on Jauary 2nd?
It takes one year to decorate the floats!
**Flowers are added in November, as told to by past volunteer who added flowes to the floats one year!
The highlight of New Years Day!
Rudy
Rudy,
I did hear that they immediately start preparing for the subsequent year.
Isn't that amazing. My former computer tech lived there. I also had a mentor. We always camped out at her place a few days to avoid the traffic jams.
Did you ever drive the Pasadena freeway. It's not for the faint of heart.
Thanks for the info.
Do you mean the 110 or the 134/210 freeway? Ive driven both...grin.
The 110 requires a lower speed at 55 and even less at some turns...
Because the 110 frwy runs up through a hillside, it is similar to driving up one of the canyon roads from the SF valley to Hollywood...lots of winding turns.
Rudy
Enjoy ๐
