How is December converting? Or is it at all?
To date...the Christmas conversion factor for me with Amazon is a dud!! I've had 67 click through's this month so far...but ZERO conversion $! Considering all the holiday purchasing going on out there...I find this very troubling. Would you normally think that from 67 clicks, you should get SOMETHING at least? Perhaps January will pick up if enough people are given Amazon gift cards. I can only hope!

Actually my amazon sales have been slow as well in this month. I'm going to add a few changes and move things around to see if that increases conversion. I think this is a good time to look at our Google Analytics and see what we can tweak and improve on.
It's hard to know what works and what doesn't. Jay (Magic Studios) advises not to bother with banner ads. And I can see where his thinking on this is. At the same time though, Amazon produces all these attractive, colorful and seasonally suggestive banners that I'm always hoping will make a difference if I add them to the site. But...sales figures seem to indicate otherwise.

Amazon clicks can be like that. Sometimes you can get a ton of clicks and no sales, and sometimes it works out better. Be encouraged, this is normal, but as your clicks continue to rise your sales will start to show up too.
Yes, I understand it can be highly unpredictable, and no two niches will ever get identical results. Perhaps I set the bar too high for the Christmas buying season! Like so many things involving the internet.... it's a numbers game...and a LOT of people are required to act upon the same incentive, in order for it to make even the smallest conversion.
