Upgrading My Website
I'm working on my website trying to play catch-up
on "tasks". I've been inspired by the training and
videos and learning a lot, so much so that I've been
too lax on the tasks, so I'm trying to fix that now, bit
by bit. Again,, the first "niche" I decided on was
something close to home. Photography, and it's
toys.
A minor issue I'm having with WordPress is that
sometimes what appears on the edit window turns
out differently when it's published, ( text won't line
up exactly as put in, etc ) so I have to go back and
forth several times to get it the way I want. Is it just
this theme, or are they all like that?
Also the menu tab ( upper right corner ) doesn't show
all the pages that are place in the actual Main Menu,
it omits the first one on the list for some reason, and
try as I might I can't fix it. So I put the "Privacy Policy"
first in the order so that's the one that's not showing
up, though it is on the menu list in the dashboard.

Good to hear you are making progress and working on your site.
It is a general thing about WP that would you see in the editor is not necessarily what it will look like "live". A fast way to check can be to have two windows open - when in the backend where you work, and the other the "live" page. Then you can quickly switch back and forward.
About the menu, it could sound like you need to check how you have set up your menus under appearance.
