23 Hours & 30 minutes later
So I finally decided to take the Premium plunge here at WA. With almost exactly 30 minutes to spare before the offer to have the first month at a discount expired :)
Over the last week, I've been giving a lot of thought to what kind of niche I'm going to be tackling. As a professional wrestler and lifelong pro wrestling fan, I've settled on creating a pro wrestling-based website. Initially, I plan for the main focus to be a highlighting of some of the WWE's developmental wrestlers as well as some of the independent wrestlers that work hard to make it to a level where they can wrestle professionally for a living. My girlfriend and I are huge fans of NXT, the WWE's developmental program that has its own weekly show on the WWE Network and runs occasional live specials outside of where they tape for TV in Florida, and there doesn't seem to be a website out there that most specifically invites discussions about these wrestlers that are being trained to become the WWE's future main eventers. In the same token, there are many independent pro wrestlers out there that more people who mainly follow the WWE should know about. Especially if some of them eventually get signed by the company. As a six year veteran of the indy wrestling circuit, I also feel I can provide very unique commentary and viewpoints regarding a lot of things we see in the pro wrestling world today
I have a lot of lofty goals that I'm beginning to formulate as it relates to the long term growth of the website. But it starts with getting myself up and running. I'm working on an initial post to have ready for the launch of the website. My goal is to launch it tomorrow as a 28th birthday present to myself. Launching it on my birthday will ensure that I never forget when I decided to take this step into sort of a great unknown. A year from now, I'm planning on being able to report back to the WA community that this has been a successful venture to this point. But again, baby steps. Getting off the ground is the first step to a successful flight. Well technically I guess buying boarding passes would be the first step, but that's beside the point.
Here's to what lies ahead.
