"Ahhhhhggg! Moments
Some affiliate advertisers have refused me to join the programme, understandably because there's no web traffic to my brand new sites. So in the beginning I stupidly started to apply for every possible affiliate programme - soon my mail app was overflowed with notifications of approval, disapproval, verifying email address... plus spams.
Rakuten Linkshare (UK) has suddenly cancelled the agreement on me, I asked why & they said because I wasn't promoting enough of their own products. There are a lot of good brand retailers advertising themselves under Rakuten umbrella, and I was promoting theirs but hardly any of Rakuten's own brand. So it was fair enough, I had to take all the relevant items off my site.
Now I had a problem with Amazon Associates yesterday. One of my websites was registered with my AA account but I wanted to promote Amazon products in my other sites.
I know now that all you have to do is to go to "My Account" and simply add more site addresses. But I was blind (couldn't find it) and was stupid (instead of asking you guys here or googling, I just emailed AA directly);
"I own several websites. Can I promote Amazon's products on my multiple sites? If so how do I register more than one site with you?"
A few hours later I received a reply saying "Thank you for your query. I'm pleased to advise you that I have now closed your account. If you wish to rejoin, click the application link below..." What!?!? I never asked you to CLOSE the account!!!
So I had to quickly rejoin, got a new account code and re-linked all the existing products one by one. Thank God I only had about 10. It would have been a nightmare had there been more.
