Why They Do It

Studies show these reasons why women become entrepreneurs…

** While men generally start businesses for growth and profit potential, women most often do so to meet personal goals.

** Women seek feelings of achievement and accomplishment.

** Women consider the financial success of their business as an external confirmation of their ability rather than just a goal or motivation.

** Women tend to launch businesses following some traumatic event, i.e. divorce, corporate discrimination due to pregnancy or glass ceiling, the health of a family member, or economic downfall due to layoff.

But a new demographics of women entrepreneurs is forming today, as more women opt to leave corporate America to chart their own destinies. In other words, simply because they can.

(Would you believe that the references for these statements are over 20 years old? Yet still very relevant!)

So, remember, if you're a woman you have a very good reason to become an entrepreneur--BECAUSE YOU CAN!

Enjoy the journey,
