By Appointment Only

I recently saw a post by Les Brown on his Faceboook page that said, "Wherever you find yourself, at some point in time you made an appointment to be there."

Ouch! How very true is that?

His statement then talked about getting real with yourself…

“Don't stay in what you know is wrong because you did not listen to the warnings or to your own intuition… Be ready to admit that you were wrong or that you made a mistake. Face it and move on. Don't beat yourself up.”

Too many times we end up behind the eight ball and waste precious time beating ourselves up about it instead of just getting out from behind. That goes for bad relationships, ill-fitted jobs, and bad health among other things. Wait a minute, all three of those applied to me at one point or another in my life.

Yep, I have a lot of lessons under my belt.

One such lesson hit me several years ago. I thought I was doing the right things to stay healthy following a sarcoidosis (auto-immune disorder) diagnosis in 2000. After ditching the heavy doses of steroids prescribed for relief of inflammation in my lungs, I altered my eating habits, eliminating a lot of bad foods. I did yoga on a regular basis. Symptoms went away!

I kept my health up for many years. In Dec 2006, I moved back to Chicago from Texas and somehow, that amazingly delicious Chicago style pizza—which always had a special place in my heart (and stomach)—led me back to other questionable dietary habits I had once abandoned: occasional alcohol and daily coffee.

After three years of processed foods, high stress and lack of exercise, my body made an appointment for me. A serious sarcoidosis attack landed me in the ER. From there, I spent several days in ICU until my breathing normalized.

Question: Why me? Answer: Why not me?

We all end up in situations every now and then that have us wondering “Why me?” or “Why did this happen?” Usually, once we get some clear thinking on the matter we can see we made an appointment to be there.

These days, I’ve made a serious commitment to optimum health and unlimited wealth!

That's right--unlimited. I figured if I was going to live a very long and healthy life I needed to make a whole lot more money to cover my living expenses well into my centenarian years. That’s why I started marketing online. E-commerce is a trillion dollar industry. I needed to be on the receiving end of that.

We should all carve out time in our life to get a clear understanding of where we want to be. Not to beat ourselves up about why we've failed thus far at being there, but rather to simply make an appointment to get there!

Excellent! I'm excited to network with you! Amazing writing skills! Happy HEALTHY Sunday!

Awww, thanks Felix. By the way, what projects are you currently working on?

Hi Terri! I'm studying now, I really have very limited technical skills as of now. This is a bit like learning a new language for me. So I'm very eager to learn as much as I can. I'm interested in positive thinking and energy. Thanks for asking!
